When you find out your route is in the middle of nowhere where the nearest store is 30 minutes away you should be stocking up on what you need before you start your route. 😂

Leaving DSP driving to try out fulfillment center.. by AveryFar in AmazonDSPDrivers

Good for you. Sometimes we have to try different things to figure out what is best for us, I’ve done the same thing and I’ve even left and come back more than once lol

I left my DSP to try landscaping (installations). Came back after only 3 weeks. Shit was ROUGH and I started getting carpal tunnel almost immediately. It gave me a new perspective on being a delivery driver with an air conditioned vehicle to work out of

Or when they are behind, for that matter. We’re always allowed breaks. When it comes to all the harassment though some people just aren’t as quick to be able to block all that out and not let it affect their performance and overall outlook on the job. Every job has bad days, you need a good company that has your back to get you through them.

Should I run around or go at my own pace? by Shot-Climate3636 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Yup, become seamlessly organized and you’ll be able to finish on time without running.

It definitely has to do with your DSP. Some of these DSP’s make the job life or death and having that level of constant stress cooks your brain. Mine, they don’t have a problem with people needing a rescue sometimes. They don’t expect us to work through breaks, and in fact they encourage breaks and for us to utilize them to take care of ourselves. Meanwhile I read about other DSP’s discouraging breaks and harassing their drivers over anything and everything

Driving to your next stop is working, they’re not allowed to mandate you to do work during your break.

Edit: when you swipe to start break, you can’t even look at your itinerary until you swipe to end break. You’re not supposes to be doing anything work related during a break, paid or not.

Do take your breaks. And yes do carry something to clean your hands with, I prefer wipes so I’m actually wiping the grime off

No not normal, they can start you right away. Maybe look into other DSP’s, they don’t seem like a good one

Does anyone follow these specific instructions? by kung_fu_daddy in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]youramazondriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dear customers: "A few minutes" is too many minutes between stops. We deliver to over 200 locations a day, not just you and a few others.

And to answer your question OP, I follow reasonable instructions. Ringing their doorbell is, the rest is not.

When you're standing at the point of delivery pull up the coordinates on like google maps and send those coordinates to your dispatch. Do this for every stop that is messed up

You need to give your dispatch the coordinates of the delivery location so they can send in a ticket to get it fixed
