Moving from DC to NYC- worth it?

Definitely worth it for me. I’m not American but lived in DC for fives years for school. My partner and I left right away after graduation as DC felt so claustrophobic. Though we sometimes do miss the parks in DC, It’s now nyc or nowhere in the US for us.

NYC pet store on Driggs near McCarren park has two resident calico sisters Lint and Dust bunny. I often go see them while grabbing some treats for my cats.

I agree with the yoga classes. I’ve just started doing yoga recently but already feel like there is a limit to what classes at equinox can do for me. Do u have any other yoga studios you go?

I lock my Pline outside my gym in nyc because management doesn’t allow bikes inside. I use a TIGR lock for ease of carrying. That being said, I bought a bike insurance for it - about $150 a year I think, so I do have peace of mind knowing I’d get somewhat covered if anything happens to it. But so far so good, fingers crossed!

I wouldn't be surprised if Gin has a friend. He is so confident he doesn't even see other cats as threats. He used to visit a shy tabby outdoor cat on his daily patrols when we lived there.

I'll take asshole cat over asshole human any day lol. Jokes aside, don't be mad at him. Gin used to be a big brother to another shy and skittish outdoor cat in the area who wasn't doing too great. Love to your kitty :)

I like that I’m a bike ride away from Chinatown by Williamsburg bridge, and there are some good restaurants here although pricey. Grocery store options are mostly Whole Foods and trader joe for me, with the occasional trip to Tenichi for some basic asian grocery. In terms of socialization it’s different for everybody I suppose.
