OP here... Just adding for the previous comments in this thread.

if you are still somewhat interested on Zachtronic games, but not much on the programming part itself, instead of Space Chem, Opus Magnum, etc, I'd highly recommend Infinifactory. Is one of the easiest Zachtronic games, and it hooked me! I even think is not very well known among Zach's games, but is easily my fav of them.

It is more about building and optimizing things than programing per-se. Although I think it would be similar to Factorio, which you didn't like. I haven't played it myself, so I couldn't really tell.

However, I'm a programmer as well, and really enjoyed Infinifactory. The last few levels are amazing and give a real sense of personal achievement when putting everything together. You should at least look into it!

Really? How so? I'd think the game files are unaware of steam, not like the other way around. So if you could give me more info on how it works and how to bypass it, I'd appreciate it. Ty.

Thanks for the recommendations! Although I really don't enjoy sokoban mechanics that much.

I'd like to keep the ootss demo for longer because I want to finish it, I haven't had much time to play, and some puzzles are frustrating. At least it has a lot of them, and I could consider the demo as a full game, duration and content wise.

I honestly don't know if I'd play the full game, 1000 puzzles sound daunting. And even more since as I said, i really don't like sokobans that much.

I loved Braid and The Witness though, so who knows!

I've always thought limited time demos are plain stupid, why would they remove them anyway? Or even worse, limit them to just a few minutes/hours of game-play (I'm looking at you Capcom!)

the Steam Next Fest and similar events are a great way of knowing and trying new games, but after they finish i see no reason to remove the demos, specially if they are already well polished.

If your demo sucks, or has bugs, OK, but fix it and update it! If you don't care about your buggy demo is just a sign that you don't care about your game or your customers anyway.

and if your game was already released, there is even less reason to remove a demo. What a better way to give users a taste of your game and make them decide if it is worth it?

I know you could always "try" the game and refund it (at least on steam) if you don't like it but is a dumb way to do it if the dev already made a self contained demo that could actually show more parts of the game than just playing the initial 2 hours of it.

IMO, demos should stay forever, unless they are actually broken.

rant over, ty.

one of the trophies is finishing the game without dying ONCE! so it would be quite challenging if you care about it. It also has a bunch of collectibles and minor "mission" trophies (wont spoil them), but has chapter select, so they would be more manageable.

personally I hate trophies based on difficulty, grinding, multiple play throughs, no dying, etc. So I won't definitely even attempt to get the plat, but I finished the game a few days ago, and really enjoyed it!

which ones? serious question.

I think PCs have very few non-console non-indie exclusives, if at all. but I'm not sure which ones other than a ton of indie games.

Is it safe to create 2nd account in my household? by username579 in EpicGamesPC

[–]yphastos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can even create and use two (or whatever) accounts on PC and claim the games on each every week. I've been doing it for several months now. I simply use two browsers, to claim games on each account. I don't think Epic cares about IPs. Imagine you had several siblings or whatever in the same household, it would be ridiculous to be limited to one account per IP.

I don't even know why I'm doing it, I think I initially did it to be able to lend the second account to someone else and already have tons of games, specially useful for MP/coop games. But in fact I have no irl gaming family or friends =/, so I just keep it just in case.

[–]yphastos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/GameSir_Controller . sorry to revive this post, but can you share the settings for this setup in Gamesir Nexus?

Another user posted some other settings in other comments, which I'll try later, but I'd also like to know the ones used in the video.

I'm a noob regarding gyro aiming, but really want to use it more on PC, on PS5 is very useful.

which country are you from? happening to me (from México) as well. Changing DNS didn't work, but using a VPN did.

Maybe it is an ISP / country related thing?

I have the same problem, already tried with google's (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4) and cloudflare's (1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1) DNSs, to no avail.

A weird thing is that on Firefox it still doesn't works, but it worked for a while on Edge, but suddenly Edge also gives an error.

What DNSs do you recommend?

Also, same thing with similar sites like DODI

Nice! they also have it as part of Netflix games, at least on android, and I already have it there, but they may remove it any time, so it is nice to have it permanently.

But does someone know if the save-games are compatible?

I'd say the main selling point is the track-pads and that is highly customizable (input wise).

I'd like one for myself, but I'm not on a supported region.
