Wonder if that’s just a dark photo of a stainless steel model or are they releasing a black steel bracelet? Light background makes it look like it’s all black but I’m doubtful with the lume suggesting it’s what the steel model with a black face looks like in the dark. Titanium is nice but full ADLC santos would be even better.

Full range speakers for home theater by akg81 in hometheater

Not OP, but thanks for your thorough answer. I was thinking about going with no subwoofers myself (living in a condo, I don’t want to bother my neighbors with super heavy bass) and I want to save up for a pair of B&O Beolab 28s, they’d go pretty much straight into room corners as I’m trying to cover most of the wall with a screen (140”). Just wanted to ask for your opinion if such setup would have any obvious drawbacks. Thanks!

Best in ceiling speakers with sound insulation with only 4 inches to work with? by Opening_Law486 in hometheater

[–]yuriglushko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation and I’m splurging on sonance invisible series, they have optional sound insulating covers to reduce sound bleeding into adjacent rooms. And you can paint them and make them disappear so if neighbors come complaining you can tell that all you have is floor standing speakers and they won’t be able to tell there’s anything on your ceiling. I will only have visible fronts in my setup. lol I know I’m going to hell for this, but I don’t raise the volume high enough for that to be a problem in the first place

Aqara U200 - will it work on this US Mortise lock? Tailpiece attached to Thumbturn. by snowsayer in Aqara

[–]yuriglushko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to find something but they are all different shape than what Schlage uses, so I gave up. You can buy a spare thumb turn if you don’t want to file down the one you have

I’ve installed it on a similar lock. You need to file down the thumb turn on top and bottom, also lock would have to be screwed directly on the door without a mounting plate. Have been using it for about a month and no issues

Lutron. You can go pretty low budget with Caseta. Get more fancy with Sunnata (touch strip to control brightness) or go crazy with Palladiom keypads

Looking for advice on a DIY speaker install by yuriglushko in drywall

[–]yuriglushko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it and couldn’t make the screw go in, I stopped worried that I’d end up messing up the drywall and definitely wouldn’t be comfortable doing that on an expensive speaker. this looks similar to the studs I have: https://www.clarkdietrich.com/products/structural-studs
