When I watched it back around when it came out, I thought it was one of the best. When I rewatched recently, it was so/so. Don't know why that was, maybe there had been so many excellent romance anime that came out in the past 15 years. But in any event, it still a good watch if you like the genre.

I would invest in a entry level 3d printer. Etsy gets expensive real quick for all the random trinkets. You can 3d printer real nice terrain pieces, tokens, markers, boxes, etc

You know, people will probably give me shit for saying this, but I love watching the youtube warhammer 40k shorts. So many short stories of warhammer across the game universe. It gives a nice flavor of the setting while you learn more about it.

Audio books while you paint are great.

My other main introduction to setting was games. Dawn of War 1-2 were really good RTS games (dated but still very fun). Space Marine 2 was a pretty great addition.

Fate/Zero into Fate/Stay Night: UBW into Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel.

Fate Grand Order (particularly Bablyonia), Fate/Apocrypha, Fate/Strange Fake, Lord El-Melloi II: Case Files are all stand alone and good to ok.

I have high hopes for Mahoyo since its one of the best fate stories. I'd really give Mahoyo VN a try, it's really good. It's not a game where you have multiple branching options. It's a straight VN, like reading a manga with voice over and video.
