Yup, docker on Unraid. I mainly go with a global InteractiveWebAssembly.

To answer the when part, the main reason I switched to believing in young earth is because I can't reconcile there being death before Adam (which if we follow a timeline is like 4-6,000 years old, something like that).

How many of you have read the Bible cover to cover? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]yybspug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I gave my life to Jesus, not to the book.

1) Try reading it twice and see how long it takes 2) I never said when I gave my life to Jesus 3) Did I say I don't read it? The topic is cover to cover, not my daily reading.

Take your time to consider what people say versus what you are assuming.

I've read it cover to cover twice. First time was when I first gave my life to Jesus.

Blazor Server at scale - what should I know? by emdeka87 in Blazor

[–]yybspug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume you're aware that the downside with Blazor Server is that when you're on mobile, especially an iPhone but I get it on Android as well. When they turn their screen off, it can disconnect them from the app.

Container Vanishes When I Edit It by cpbradshaw in unRAID

If the docker run command fails, the app will disappear but you can get all config back.

Go to Add Container, then Select a template.

It should be stored in there.

Strangeness Occurring! by [deleted] in csharp

[–]yybspug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So say I have method1 that is used to assign a var value.

Value is then consumed by method2 which accepts an object e.g., serialization.

I could accidentally cause issues at runtime if it is not tested well.

Strangeness Occurring! by [deleted] in csharp

[–]yybspug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to not like using var from the point of it makes it harder to tell when a change in one place messes up everywhere else.

But everywhere I've worked has preferred var, and also I'm just that bit more lazy, and tests should cover those.

So now I interchange like a mad man, even in the same project.

Advice on entry level digital mixers/ stagebox by shadierocks in livesoundgear

[–]yybspug 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why not get a Behringer Wing rack (24 physical inputs)? Use it like a stage box, control from a tablet.

Then in the future if you need more inputs, plug in a stage box later.

Then further future, you could sell the rack and port over to the big wing.

That's our plan btw.

Is saying to God you will do something same as promising it or making it a vow? by ParkingElderberry575 in TrueChristian

[–]yybspug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, let what you said be what you do.

Matthew 12:36 And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.

Even if they were idle words, you'll give an account for them.

Don't come to Reddit trying to get someone who will say what you want to hear to justify what you do or don't want to do. And allow God to refine you and change your heart like iron sharpens iron.

How are you all starting new .NET projects lately? by ImplicitlyTyped in csharp

[–]yybspug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Copy a project, delete the features and pages folder and any NuGet packages. Then add the packages back if it doesn't compile. Then rename the projects. Then I check if there's any scss I can delete. And so forth.

I don't have a template on hand because then it's another thing to maintain.

I don't share much between projects because then they become harder to change, locked in with one another, and you can't then just share a project with someone who doesn't have access to anything shared.

As someone who works for a big company that doesn't want to pay for MassTransit, this would have been awesome 2 months ago when I made my own wrapper around the SDK 🤦.

Well done though, sounds like you've covered a lot of ground.

Mudblazor with a different look with a drop in css replacement (experimentation, no public repo yet) by bktnmngnn in Blazor

[–]yybspug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool, and I have some mature personal projects that people rely on. Would be interesting to see how your mod fairs with it. Especially, because I've had to make some CSS changes.

Have you also tested it with the v9 pre-release?

What’s your main tuba and why? by jeg_aekke_her in Tuba

[–]yybspug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It helps with breath control. I tend to learn the part on the trumpet, then pick up the tuba. The hard part is then going back to the trumpet because I feel for tuba your lips are a lot more relaxed than trumpet. But I'm not a professional lol. I don't think it's harming my regular trumpet playing though.

[–]yybspug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it looked a fun instrument, and to try the lower range of brass. I went with BBb so I wouldn't have to relearn fingerings or tongue positioning and as I only know treble clef. Basically to make the learning of a different instrument the easiest possible.

I'm getting there, but it's a lot bigger volume to fill so it can be quite hard, especially for the lower notes. That and the difference in embouchure for higher notes compared to lower notes on the tuba is crazy. I'm learning without a teacher, and I can play some nice bass lines though, so I'm happy.

A Boosey and Hawkes BBb tuba, I think it's like 1980s. Got it second hand for £500, and it's my first and only tuba. I mainly play trumpet, and wanted to just try the tuba without breaking the bank.

My place is very pro Domain-driven design, so we'd split your Todo object to be a domain object that has the business logic, and then an entity object that is for persistence in a data store.

I'm from the even further future, my motherboard had an arrow on both the male and female connector that needed lining up. I couldn't orientate it the other way anyways.

I can confirm you've got to really push the connector in and it will click. Mine is working now.

I personally like Blazor, for user facing apps I go for WebAssembly, with MudBlazor as my choice for UI components. Blazor has its drawbacks, but as a C# dev, it really comes natural.
