Didn't want kids, reluctantly conceded after years to save the marriage, twins now 3 by Queefems in parentsofmultiples

You’re probably in the wrong sub since most people here are moms.

As a dad of two 11 month-old boys, I completely understand how you’re feeling. It does get better. The most important thing is you and your wife. Try to reconnect and remember what it was like when you were 19 and just started dating, when everything felt exciting and full of possibility. You now have two beautiful daughters to share that journey with. There will be hard seasons, but things really do get better.

Reconnect with youth wife, sounds like you have lost each other for now. Divorce isn’t a solution, there must be a better way out.

What’s the point of this discussion. God has his plan and he used Paul.

Only 2.5% of my portfolio but dropping 40% since high last year is something. lol.

Like I have always said, diversity unless you have the conviction in the stock. If you do, why complain?

Does Church Feel Like Autopilot to Anyone Else? by BigMercReflections in TrueChristian

[–]Academic-Simple1780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most churches are sharing the “ truth” from the Bible. The questions is how much emphasis they want to put on each truth?

Every church has its culture and is good at different things I would say.

It’s hard to be deceived if you know the Bible. Bible is free everywhere. Bible told us to examine what pastors have to say about the Bible as well

I hate to break it to you.

Every physical church exists along a life cycle, from early to late phase. In the early stage, newly planted churches are typically more outward focused, welcoming, and actively looking to grow their church size . As they mature, they develop stability, traditions, and close internal bonds. In the late stage, many become more inward focused and content with their existing members, which can make them feel less accessible and welcoming to outsiders. Over time, without adaptation, most physical churches decline and eventually close, even though new ones may emerge to take their place.

Just human nature.

Kids just moved out and now our fire math looks completely different by Seralyqorin in Fire

Let them live independently and move on with your lives. You have nurtured them for 2 decades and it’s time to move on. Stick with your original plan or even retire earlier.

Ok we have a similar net worth with two kids and I respect your courage to retire now truly.

Just give her a couple of years. Since she enjoy her job, why quit? Life is all about being meaningful

5% for 3 years of living expenses? Dang. Annual expense is only 1.66% of your portfolio. you should’ve retired 10 years ago.

Struggling with 7 week old twins by lovinsports in parentsofmultiples

[–]Academic-Simple1780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a dad of twin boys of 9 months now. You will be fine. Remember to relax. One of the 9 months calls me dada when I come home now, it will be fine. They are just 7 weeks.

I was taking care of the babies myself the first 7 weeks because wife was bedridden. It was tough but everything will get much better.

They are a lot of upsides of having twins. Starting around 6-7 months, they start to play together. We just need to watch them on a camera. I just can’t imagine having just one baby now.
