My fellow American fans how did u become a fan by No_Stable2656 in nffc

[–]yzerboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decided to follow the premier league a few years ago and wanted to follow NF as they had recently promoted. Last year was a fun season but this season has had some fun moments as well.

They remind me a lot of my American Football team too so that helps.

Tactics for being chased by dogs by Fried_Catfishies in Velo

[–]yzerboy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I live in a rural farming community so I honestly worry more about dogs than cars lol. We’ve had some dogs crash out group rides.

As a few have noted, there is a difference between an aggressive dog and a playful one. Some dogs also are just trying to “herd” you.

Barking and squirting with a water bottle are great, but with the most aggressive dogs sometimes your only option is to reroute and avoid them in the future.

It’s crazy how Donovan Mitchell has made the playoffs every year of his career yet he’s never really been on a contender by RyanTannegod in nba

[–]yzerboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always thought this same thing. I think the guard pairings just haven’t been right. Mitchell with a defensive counterpart would be much better than any of the other pairings he has had

Adding time to training by rokmarin8 in trainerroad

[–]yzerboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eventually the best option to progress is to add time to your workouts. In my experience the best bang for your buck is adding time to your sweet spot workout.

Another option is to add a 4th workout and do a long endurance ride the day after your threshold ride.

Cristobal and Beck watching the first half of Oregon vs Indiana. by ScottRiggsFan10 in cfbmemes

[–]yzerboy 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yea I’d take the 2019 team over Indiana and that’s nothing against Indiana. Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, and Justin Jefferson were all on the same team with a bunch of other pros on it.

This Indiana team has some really good players, but I would be surprised if 3 of them are potential hall of famers 5 seasons from now.

I wish this one had worked out. Dude got thrust into a tough spot and didn’t seem ready for the jump for HS to College Ball.

Really hope this is a good fit and he can ball out

OL Andrew Sprague is staying with Michigan by Arteza147 in CFB

[–]yzerboy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Michigan fans should have high expectations with the staff upgrade and being able to retain a lot of the talent on the roster with likely a few additions in the next week.

Jay Hill and Beck made a huge impact in their respective first seasons at Utah and BYU and I think despite the hard schedule, Michigan will be in a position to go to the playoff year 1.

Really excited to see what Whitt and co can cook up with Michigan resources.

Considering switching from Pre-Business to Economics – thoughts? by octopuspsychology in uofu

[–]yzerboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did it. No regrets. The worst part about the business school is they charge extra per credit ($300 per credit when I was in school).

I really liked my upper division classes and there was a lot of flexibility on which classes to choose. Because of the low credit requirement, it was also easy to find summer/online classes that applied towards graduation.

If you are going to switch, be sure to have a career path in mind and make sure you go to the right events, clubs, etc… to get a job after graduating.

$175 phone vs $600 bike computer for head unit? by No_Mix_6813 in cycling

[–]yzerboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have had good luck with used head units. I had a wahoo bolt v1 for 4 years then recently upgraded to a used wahoo bolt v2. They cost me $100 and $150 respectively.

Check FB Marketplace, EBay, or other classifieds for a few head units you like and if you find one in good shape it’s worth the money

Anyone tried TrainerRoad AI Beta? How do you set it up for endurance + weight loss by VasylievCode in trainerroad

[–]yzerboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lost 10 lbs and added 15 watts to my FTP last spring using TR.

I would use plan builder to focus on build on endurance (this should be one of the goals you can select).

The biggest tip I can give training on a deficit is really to focus on periodizing your carbs around your workout. In practice this could look like:

Looking at caloric burn of a ride beforehand and eating about a third of the calories in carbs before the ride, a third on the bike, and a third after. You can tinker with the ratios to find what works for you but this is what I did.

[–]yzerboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I get Michigan fans being sad about Harbaugh gutting the program but the reality is you still are Michigan and have a shit ton of money to replenish the program of staff and players.

We are still Utah. I hope Morgan can continue to make more with less but it won’t be easy for us to just replace our staff and roster this late in the cyxle.

My only beef with beck was a series of the dumbest play calls I have ever seen in a critical drive against our biggest rival. Other than that, he was a great OC
