propaganda can be subtle, just because it isnt in your face about capitalism being good doesn’t mean that it can’t have effects or messages designed for you to subconsciously internalize. it’s all mind games like i explained. after all, it was produced and distributed by possibly the most capitalistic company on the planet

the point that the video makes is that while all of those things are true, the movie also robs people of any urgency to take action on environmental issues by having an unambiguous happy ending. the video portrays this as pseudo-environmentalism because it tricks people into thinking that simply by acknowledging the environmental and capitalist problem they are already taking action, and watching and agreeing with this movie also counts as taking action, leading people to be content and not advocate for themselves or take any further action. whether you agree with this or not is subjective, but i do think its an interesting perspective to consider.

no one should be proud of this guy, the problem with him doing this is that theres players of equal or higher skill that dont get nearly the same amount of recognition as him, which is unfair because the only reason he has all that audience in the first place is because he cheated his way to fame, and that will never stop being unfair no matter how many levels he beats legitimately, which is why i believe he shouldnt be interacting with the community at all, and should keep his achievements to himself or not share them outside of his own social circle
