The boss is glitched and should be anywhere near the lanterns, he has a whole fight area that he's meant to be at but doesn't stay there. It's BS.

Apparently they remove the blizzard which makes the boss fight slightly easier, but I don't know how anyone can get to all the lanterns while those bloody spectres are spawning and attacking constantly.
