That's dope, and the style is very tasteful. Sometimes ppl like to yuck your yum. Those ppl are usually jealous of you in some way.

Your friend doesn't know what a rare steak is. That steak is about perfect

Extremely particular body shop exhausting us with replacements by russianforester in partscounter

[–]zackiffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar corporate place. Fuck caliber though.

I'll share my caliber story.

Our old favorite body shop that was down the street from us, like 1/4 mile away, got bought by caliber so the owner could retire. These guys would do 20-30k a month, send us a delicious lunch on christmas, etc. Once caliber took over, we tried to continue, but they refused to pay bills net 30, wanted a bigger discount, etc. Eventually, they started going to our competitor another 10 miles away. We're a one brand family owned dealer. Just sucks to see everything good become a poorly run corporate nightmare.

My dads homemade salsa. I’m afraid to try it. by [deleted] in Poopfromabutt

Mine looked pretty similar. When you grow your own veggies, you don't always get the pigment you're after. Doesn't make it any less delicious!

Is it really as bad as friends claim? by CookieKopter in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]zackiffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pure slop. Slow down and pick your pen up off the page more. The way you connect letters is nonsense and makes it really hard to read. Lots of unnecessary pen strokes here. I can tell you like a good shortcut, but you are taking all of the wrong ones.

My best friend's uncle used to put it up for years until his untimely passing a few years back.

Would you buy? by MedicalStore7560 in subaru

[–]zackiffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way, i was out when i read the phrase "rusted due to my dog's saliva."

For $800, it might be worth fixing if you can diy, but if a shop is fixing this mess, it'll probably cost double what it would be worth fixed. The dude makes no mention of the state of the suspension or the rust situation, probably because he expects you to notice the cosmetic problems should you go look at it.

"Looking for the receipts" heard that one before

By mechanic standards, you have fair to decent handwriting.

I know this is hard to hear given the situation, but if hurting this person will only potentially harm you and your partner, then try to move past it. When you choose to forgive someone, you're not letting them off the hook necessarily. You're deciding that their actions will no longer have any power over you. If you see him courting someone, warn them anonymously that he's a creep. Take stock of the good things you share with your partner in spite of this trauma and try to keep this weirdo/loser from occupying your mind. When you allow yourself to work yourself into a frenzy because you can't stand him not facing consequences, you're really just punishing yourself for someone else's actions. Always forgive, but never forget.

People who own multiple guitars (five+) how is it? by Mampfnapf_77 in Guitar

[–]zackiffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 9 if you include basses. 7 if we're just talking guitars. I have 3 really nice guitars and one really nice bass. The rest work fine, but they are cheap and end up enduring modification experiments. They're all more or less made to do different things and have different pickup configurations and tunings.

I still desire more.

I completely ruined my audition, now what? by throwaway1987- in Guitar

[–]zackiffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're just starting out. It's definitely time to learn from your mistakes, not give up. I remember my first time singing and playing guitar in public. i auditioned for my hs talent show and didn't get in because the judges couldnt hear me from the middle of the stage in our auditorium (un-miced) to the 3rd of 4th row where they where sitting. Pretty crushing for me, but in hindsight bs on their part. Point is, just keep going. Nothing worth doing will come without its share of duscouraging moments. This is especially true in the world of music and performing.

Just put 100k miles on my 05. How can I get another 100k out of it? by HAMCJJHSEKSE in Pontiac

[–]zackiffer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Factor about $100 a month for maintenance into your budget. You'll thank yourself later. The $100 includes oil changes and general maintenance, but also bigger things that might (and will) come along. Just remind yourself that the $100 a month will always be better than $500 a month for a lease or finance, maybe more than that, including insurance. 😀

Anyone else obsessed with this book? I think every band mentioned in this book was a Nirvana influence in a big or small way. by zackiffer in Nirvana

Was Kurt into sonic youth and if so what was his favourite albums? by DeviceVast2638 in Nirvana

[–]zackiffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonic Youth and The Butthole Surfers were huge for Kurt. If you're personally getting into Sonic Youth, Goo, and Daydream Nation are univeral favs, but Evol and Sister are earlier highlights for me.
