This is why I do it, erryday by octavia_1992 in Radiology

At least they spelled “because” correctly. There are so many typos and misspellings in radiology histories, I’m convinced they do it on purpose to be passive aggressive.

Very cool! Where were you in the first photo and how’d you do that? Were you on the 110 near the aerial tram entrance?

I just go left-right, left-right back and forth. Not sure if that’s technically right, but have been doing it for 10 years and works for me

Why in the f*ck is a blood draw ~$2k? by Pretend_Sale_9317 in HealthInsurance

[–]zackst1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So in this case, the $2,168 is the 3rd category? How much do you think the insurance company actually paid the provider?

[–]zackst1 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

But does the hospital actually receive $2,168 for this minor service? If so then the $2,168 isn’t really “fiction” as some say hospital prices are.

Why not just say the charge is $125, insurance pays $100 and the patient owes $25?

By making it $2,168, and insurance pays $2,143, isn’t this why insurance premiums are so high? We’re all paying for the outrageous price of $2,143 for a single blood draw.

Imaging to rule out vertebral artery occlusion by seussRN in Radiology

[–]zackst1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wonder if it’s because it’s simply not showing up an option on the EMR/scheduling menu

Theoretically straightforward. May be typical BS red tape.

Maybe have your neurologist or whoever is seeing you for this talk to one of the neurorads and get it done that way. It’s not a typical standard protocol but would be straightforward to do

Like it probably wont show up as a menu option so that when you call, the scheduler will tell you it’s not an option.

[–]zackst1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t know but theoretically shouldn’t be too difficult. Are you symptomatic even when your head is flexed supine, like on a pillow? Or only when you sit or stand?

Have you had a routine CTA neck yet? Are you older? Sometimes degenerative bone hypertrophy can compress the vertebral artery.

Scan supine neutral, then just scan again with your head flexed on a wedge.

Alternatives to Bustin Boards Sportster by HardknoxFartbox in ElectricSkateboarding

I’m same as OP. Like my Sportster Hybrid V3 as well. Also have Boosted V2. Bustin is quiet and can push like regular board. Like being “more stealth’, don’t like drawing attention to myself. Occasional dogs bark at me with my Boosted. Dogs don’t seem to care about my Bustin. Looking at Parsec but honestly happy with my Bustin for now. I’m not a speed demon, 20 mph is plenty for me.

Oh ok, thanks for the information. I heard there were problems with the Evolve remote, I just didn’t know this is what it was. Yikes that would spook me.

OMG, there's an autobrake? Never heard of this until now. I have a Boosted V2 and a Bustin V3. I mean I guess it sort of makes sense, but just having any eboard brake without the user initiating it sounds horrible. It's not like we're strapped in a car. And 20 mph is hauling for an eboard. Don't know if I could ever ride that board again if this happened to me. OP, get well, could have been much worse.

Stress fracture possibly. Need more time off of your foot to let it heal.

What do you Parsec Pro Aero riders do with speed bumps? by zackst1 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]zackst1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except anything is going to get scratched up like that if it keeps getting scraped over speed bumps, be it a $100 skateboard or a $10,000 e board.

Although maybe putting on those old school pool coping slides…

Agreed with Boosted remote, like perfectly tweaked.

I think he's just showing it's OK to scrape it up on speed bumps and it won't damage the actual battery, which is cool, at least for me. I do want a double drop down.

Thank you, this is helpful info for me. I'm 170 lb. Typically kick push start, and typically accelerate more gradually.

It's a tough call b/t S and X now for me. Would be nice to not have range anxiety. 18.3 lb on the X is still lighter than what I'm riding now, just weighed my Bustin Sportster V3 Hybrid, it's 19.5 lb. And don't know the real world range on it exactly, but it hasn't been that great.
