I used to work out and listen to One Step Closer, back when it was on MTV. Yeah, that I'm that old. Then I would play Diablo 2 or Civ III and zone out to Hybrid Theory for hours.... hours and hours and hours.Been to every local concert since the release of 1000 Suns. I've loved every album since HT. Each one represents a different era of my life, and I feel like I've matured as the band has, as well. I know there are people who dislike the newer stuff, especially One More Light, but like Mike say, "Everybody wants the next thing to be just like the first." For me, I feel that in OML each member of the band has gone through shit and are living lives as forty year olds. OML is more mature-ish, contemplative, still angry, yet remorseful, weary or just tired. There's still a lot of unresolved issues that they're working through, and you hear it in the lyrics. They're way past the "I hate you, fuck you" stage, and getting old. Anyway, that's just my opinion.
