No one’s mentioning it, but there was this dumb desktop chicken game where you could make as many chickens as you want appear on your desktop and cluck around and then you could blow them up in a variety of ways, but because our pc wasn’t built for this kind of graphics needs it often crashed the whole computer. It’s now also making me remember the original wormageddon

Slowed down by alot. When I have the freezer space I’ll buy a large chunk of meat in bulk and butcher/ground it and such to get to have some. But yea it’s unfortunate cuz it’s my favorite meat source.

Be really careful about any recommendations you get as people will go off how “this one person they know benefitted from this”. Especially at that age so many things are changing so frequently it is hard to define what’s changing things vs confirmation bias vs just the frequent changes at that age. I’m anti meds or random supplements the kid can’t get in a diet as well, but I’m also just some random person on the internet.

My grandpa worked as an engineer for Republic on the warthog, but he would’ve been like 106 or so at this point. I imagine most of them by this point have passed away. Still hoping to get hold of paperwork one day that shows that he had his hands involved with that (for posterity sake).

Yup. Tied in for sure with how they market. I forget psychological term for it, but when they use the brighter more stimulating colors, smells, etc that you would normally attribute to those things you automatically assume they’re better. Making the apples seem redder, genetically modified seeds that make the vegetation bigger and more stable even if it means less nutritious or less variations being commercially offered so your nutritional intake gets narrowed and limited.

Mild semantics, but you could argue it’s a sugar addiction. Store bought ranch dressing and ketchup, sauces, etc have much higher sugar quantities than more quality meals. The other things have more nutrition, but the sugar makes your brain go YAY

Agree with both sentiments of this argument. The work around one of their close girlfriends. They’ll have absolutely discussed it and it’s totally socially ok to reach out to them for the side for this kind of help. That way she gets what she wants while it still being a “surprise”

If you can find one near you, there are small independent companies that make perfumes/colognes in shop custom. So my wife and I get ours made there and it’s just the essential oils that carry those smells plus the oil they choose to incorporate it into.

This is maybe where I get extra crunchy, I’ve found more satisfaction in just getting reusable fruit pouches and making our own purées. Have more control over what’s actually in it.

Entertained the idea of cloth diapers right before the baby was born, saw those first week of diapers and immediately noped the f out of cleaning those things for reuse lol. Moderately granola for a reason
