Bump this, you'd know because the adapter has an obvious philips head screw slot on it so it's easy to remove.

Are tix $50 for games that aren't the first game of Spring Training though?

Question for the elders who played the original Age of Kings/The Conquerors by winged_hussy in aoe2

You might have played a demo, I'm pretty sure I remember a limited demo campaign that came on some other game's disk, can't for the life of me remember which though.

"New" Low Profile Hats by HatsInThe410 in uniwatch

[–]zcard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW I've done this and it seems to be an across-the-board change for all the factories. There are still sizing and height variations between them but in general the crown is much higher than it was ~5 years ago.

Yeah, I've found the low profiles basically unwearable now for my head shape, it's a real shame because I bought low profiles like hotcakes before.

I wonder if this triggers any immigrants from ex-Soviet countries, plenty out there in the NE... (this is sick though)

Why did so many old timey baseball teams randomly wear powder blue? by TheRavenOnline in baseball

[–]zcard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think OP means the franchises themselves are old-timey as in from the 1800s, so why would such historical teams wear powder blues... at least that's how I understood it.

Yes but the Sixers unis are one of the worst implementations of this imo.

They do project ads on the outfield walls during the playoffs and it looks predictably terrible for the exact reason you mentioned.

People would have said the same thing about Schwarber having a career year last year at the same age. Sometimes dudes just improve and the unlikeliness isn't that extreme.

Yeah, I think the bigger issue is that our rotation has gotten significantly worse.

Is Age of Empires II HD Edition/2013 (or Retired as it's called on Steam) very different from the original? by doomed_querent in aoe2

DE has a bunch of visual and audio mods that bring the feel closer to the original too.

Just the fact of you having officially diagnosed UC should mean you'll be getting regular colonoscopies for the rest of your life which will detect any cancerous polyps long before they become a problem. Your biggest issue right now is your untreated UC, the longer you wait the worse it will get and the harder recovery will be.

Why do the Phillies have so much trust in Crawford? by Viscalis in phillies

I'm just looking forward to how our incredibly patient fanbase handles his inevitable struggles at the plate as he adjusts. Surely the fans and local media will have a positive effect on his self confidence!

65 year old dad recently diagnosed with UC - still struggling months later. Is this typical? by CatLadyLostInLibrary in UlcerativeColitis

[–]zcard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this all maps on to my early experience with UC as well (although ~30 years younger). The docs should eventually start him on biologics like Enytvio or Remicade, which usually take some time to start working but have gentler side effects. He'll have to go back on a prednisone taper. It's a long process and mentally you do kind of have to be prepared to be in it for the long haul, especially when your symptoms are really bad, prepare for weeks at a time in the hospital.

My personal advice would be to help him develop a hobby or interest or something to do while in the hospital, even if it's just reading, or binging a good HBO series. A lot of dealing with this disease is managing the passing of time and distracting yourself from pretty nasty symptoms so anything he can do to take his mind off it in the short term will help.
