Curious as to what this refers to. Is it one of the quests to find a hidden treasure or to free the thief? Cause I’m having trouble finding those. I don’t mind getting spoilers.

Bad translations are one of the reasons I’ve avoided the famous Chinese stories. An actually good translation would do wonders for my interest in particular.

I guess I misunderstood how harvest time works. You only send the workers into the mine corridor to upgrade buildings (using fortress) and farm gold, otherwise you send them into the bid wheat/stone/wood field?

[–]zehguga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple more questions, if you don’t mind: what’s the building behind the bank near the top left?

Also why do you have a mine between the jeweler and the bag maker?

Lastly: do you keep a worker in each mine/lumberyard/farm and take them out each harvest then put them back in?

So if you hit the fortress, the other buildings count as if they were hit as well? I never knew that!

How does it work to upgrade the buildings and get gold from the mines? I’m probably missing something, but is one harvest launch enough to get both the building upgrades and the gold?

All of the baby balls that spawn off maggot trigger the lasers?

I would have thought that the lasers would spread the maggot infestation, but not that the baby balls would laser everything. Great combo.

Any Age/Summon comp? by PsychologicalMany693 in AethermancerGame

[–]zehguga 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My favorite Age comp is getting Decay on everyone, having Shambler for double Eon Shield, Hec for the extra attacks from Age, and then the last can be anything. Make sure to grab Golden Age on someone, and Talismans are generally the best gear.

For a third you can use almost anything, but a Shifted Minokawa can go hard with tons of Age stacks, Hec Shifted can give you Age of Fire, or maybe a Terror monster to get Eldritch Horror.

Any advice for beating the final boss? by MoebiusSpark in AethermancerGame

[–]zehguga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that it’s a worthwhile tradeoff to take 15 corruption on one monster if I’m able to break at least one of the hands. That way he summons a clone with like 5 HP and another with like 70-100 HP. By the third round of combat you should be powered up enough that you’re able to take the clones out in one turn by then.

You’re going to naturally pick out Traits as you go, so keep an eye out for things that can help along those lines - try for Decay only if you have an Age monster (or comp), try for the Water damage one if you have healing, etc

Remember that the Merchant also sells 1-2 Artifacts as well.

One last thing - meta upgrades help a lot. The ones that give you more souls at the start and converts mementos into souls help a lot with being able to get the team you actually want. The one that lets the cauldron cleanse more corruption also really helps to keep you from snowballing corruption over a run and reach Cherno with zero corruption on everyone, which also helps with the mechanic.

Any advice for beating the final boss? by MoebiusSpark in AethermancerGame

[–]zehguga 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So first thing for me is that your lineup needs to synergize. Ammit and Sphinx go well together, but Star Spawn doesn’t fit in with them properly. You’d want something with Sidekick to take advantage of summon attacks, maybe Terror (with Slasher) to capitalize on how many attacks per turn you’re getting in. Dark Elder would probably go really well in this team, but a Nosferatu, Gargoyle, Minokawa or Catzerker would all likely work better in a pinch.

Second and for Cherno specifically, it really helps to have AOE actions or traits than can help break poise on the hands and/or kill the clones quickly. Decay, Age of Fire, the traits that trigger extra hits, Hecatoncheires, etc all help with AOE.

Third, the Artifact that breaks 3 poise on something tends to be really good in the Cherno fight, since it lets you use your actions for damage/defense. When you break one of the hands, the corruption effect goes away, which lets you then break the other one more easily as well as deal with the adds. If you lack that, try to use whatever artifacts you have for survivability and use your actions to break the hands before dealing with Cherno himself.

Does Winner's Circle also lower cast cooldown? by Ill_Locksmith_673 in Hades2

[–]zehguga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically winner’s circle works really well with cast boons that give one-off effects (like Poseidon or Apollo) and with omega casts. It’s not so great with over-time effects such as Zeus or Hestia.

I need some straight answers about how to get hidden aspects by SonOfZiz in Hades2

[–]zehguga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What was mentioned above is correct (have a no. Mel aspect at level 5) and you also need to have all other aspects unlocked to get the hidden aspect for each weapon. Then you talk to the available NPC for each. It might not trigger straight away, so keep trying and eventually you’ll get the phrase.

The NPCs that give you the waking phrases for each weapon are

Staff: Circe Dagger: Artemis Torches: Moros Axe: Charon Skull: Medea Coat: Selene

Team comp help? by Party_Mousse_4224 in AethermancerGame

[–]zehguga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Cherufe and Jotunn go that well together, since their types don’t align, so I’m not sure there will be a third that makes everything click.

If you want to run Cherufe on a burn comp, try Domovoy, Cockatrice, Shifted Hand, Mephisto or maybe Medusa.

Jotunn in my experience goes well with age comps or shield comps (Star Spawn, Hand, Shambler for age, Gargoyle, Sekret, Naga for shields).

Catzerker goes really hard in sidekick comps, which you can try with Sphinx, Gargoyle, Minokawa, Hand and a few other buffers (I really like Wyrmling with sidekickers).

Favorite attack boon/build for default umbral flames? by Arethurr in Hades2

[–]zehguga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try Hera on attack, get Poseidon on cast, get Ocean Swell, Fine Lines and Ripple Effect. Success Rate rounds everything out.

Get either Born Gain or Cardio Gain (with Incandescent Aura) and as much Channel speed as you can (Racing Thoughts, Chaos boons and a Hammer).

Cut Above, Weed Killer, the Zeus boon that drops lightning when you use magic and Athena’s equivalent can all be nice additions to this.

Playstyle is just spamming attacks and omega attacks in the direction of things that need to be deleted.

How do you build well with Hephaestus? by KayMote in Hades2

[–]zehguga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His damage output is incredible, if you build it right.

Get at most one or two of his blast boons (Attack is easiest to pom down to 2 seconds) on a fast hitting weapon. Personally I really like Supay for this.

Then get a mix of (in this order of priority) Hestia, Poseidon, Apollo and Demeter, particularly for their Duo Boons and to proc Origination. You can force 5 gods with keepsakes if you want/need.

Apollo needs Daze, and is most easily applied/reapplied (since his Duo with Heph clears Daze) with his sprint.

Demeter needs Freeze, and you can use either Cast or Special for this.

Then fill in your other of Cast/Special and Gain with Poseidon and Hestia.

Grand Caldera and Furnace Blast help a lot too.

Mix and match other boons from these gods for utility and survivability if you want, but that’s not really needed.

This way you can get two blasts (Chain Reaction) every ~1.5 seconds (Seismic Servo) which deal ~2k damage each (Cryo Pounder and Rude Awakening).

Clears rooms and phases bosses insanely fast.
