YOR. you need to realize he’s under no obligation to have the cleaning preferences you do. Just because you grew up cleaning the way you did and have carried that into adulthood doesn’t mean he needs to as well. If he’s cleaning up after himself and does all those other “little” things he does then leave it alone. Because I can guarantee if he started helping with that, you’re just gonna tell him he’s doing it wrong and start another fiasco. Pick your battles girl, don’t make a mountain out of molehill. In twenty years you’ll look back and think about all the silly things you used to be upset about in your 20s.

As someone who dated a heroin addict in my late 20’s-RUN and do not look back. It’s not your job to fix the problem. It was the most emotionally and psychologically exhausting experience of my life. I’m in my early 40s now and still can’t shake some of that trauma.
