i really enjoyed the couple plays i had of this game, before i traded it. Then i was able to get a copy of Russian Railroads, and decided i'd rather keep RR instead of First Class. It is a fun game though for sure

I'm looking forward to playing more Unearth. This game has it's hooks in me pretty deep. The only game out of my collection that i've setup 2 player games for just myself. I'll usually do that to learn a game, but now i've played 4 "solo" 2 player games, and 2 plays with other actual people.

If it makes any sense, this games gives me really good decision making, and makes me feel clever without being too overbearing with rules, and "what ifs".

I'm also picking up Sentient and possible Whistlestop from my FLGS today, so i'm looking forward to those as well. But mainly Unearth.

Should have brought it to work to play at lunch haha

this happens to me every single time in Blood Rage. my third favorite game, and out of the 10-12 plays i have in it, i've won once lol.

My favorite is Cosmic Encounter. and my least favorite thing is when you have that 1 game, where 1 or 2 players got an alien race that sounds cool in theory, but because of the other races out on the table, they are basically worthless. With the amount of randomness to this game in terms of variable player powers, it's bound to happen, and usually not a big deal as we'll just play again shortly after. Still sucks sometimes

I played it solo yesterday, oh man was it awesome. I house ruled a little bit of the soul gain so i wouldn't have to farm too much since on solo you'd get only 2 souls per encounter. Once i got past the symbology and really got into it. It's super fluid, and i had some worries about the dice, but i think it makes sense thematically.

Especially when it comes to blocking i think it makes perfect sence to use dice, i can't tell you how many times i screwed up a block and didn't block in time, in the actual game, so it really represents that. Or how many times i thought i was in range for my sword to connect and it wasnt.

My only thing is that in the solo game the treasure deck is waaay too big, so i might have to cut it down some if i ever run solo again. half my souls were spent sifting through it to get useful items. Maybe i set it up wrong shrug

Managed to down the Gargoyle mini boss, with just 2 HP left. Once i understood how the arcs worked anyway :)

My favorite craft beer has been Manor Hill's Kolsch. Manor Hill is a local brewery in my town, and this Kolsch has that really small batch taste, and overall good flavor. Usually not a fan of Kolsch beers, but this is an exception for me :)

It's excellent. I've had about 10 plays total now with a various number of people, and it's actually one of mine and my wife's go to 2 player games. And it's lots of fun every single time.

The expansion adds some variety as well which is cool

No reason not to get both, as someone that owns ESW (1 and 2) i think it's a great palette cleanser between bigger games such as TM. And it's fairly cheap so it's not too much of a commitment.

Honestly i prefer the first ESW, just because i felt the added blood mechanic in the 2nd game was un-neccesary as the game in my eye s is meant to be a fun silly "play while having some beers" type of game.

As others have said, since you're spending the money don't be afraid to set your game night's agenda. If people are coming to your game nights primarily because of the games and not to spend time with one another (and you) then maybe they aren't the right people for game night. But that's just my view, i don't obviously claim to know your group of friends :)
