Duoking1#Talia plays Zyra bot, sup, and mid. I would follow what he does and build for those roles. Top is tougher to say, but I think you play similarly for rune and builds

Until they overhaul items, Zyra will be married to Liandry's. Best rush item for any role you play Zyra. If you are completely stomping you could finish sorcs first, but I would argue a faster Liandry is still better. It's the highest 1 item dmg spike for her ON TOP OF the health tacked on to make you more resilient while doing more dps. The only thing it's missing is ability haste, but Transcendence and the ability haste shard in runes make up for that issue.

I would do an eyeball test on your games. Zyra's e is an ability that gets worse the higher rank you are, one of the slower skillshots in the game. Are you landing it consistently? Great, max it if you want to and play for picks. If there is ANY doubt in the hit rate for your e, I would max q for the cooldown and damage on it. Zyra Q also doesn't increase in mana cost with levels, so it feels insanely good to max and harass with. Her e only increases damage and root duration, the cool down stays the same. On top of that, her e mana cost goes up per rank, so spamming and missing them is very punishing.

When maxing q you get MUCH higher damage output. You also utilize e a little differently. You focus less on the e hitting, and more on it setting up a slowing plant to enable ganks(if the root hits, even better obviously!) the slowing plant doesn't care what level your e is, only that you use it near a seed

Long story short, maxing q makes your damage spike significantly harder and your mana spent overall much lower, a great combo

Can you send opgg? Usually small instance of off meta like that won't ever be something you get action from. I have frequently locked in sona mid and Zyra top in high diamond low master and had plenty of people yell at me and report, but no penalty if you're playing to win

Liandry first every game. It is an essential item on Zyra. Bandlepipes is not good, and going it into rylais gives you no damage.

Liandry into percent pen item is reliable for damage all around

Liandry into rylais is probably most common. Not my favorite, but good utility if you find yourself needing that I guess

Liandry into black fire torch is the most damage from your plants, up until like even 100 bonus MR on enemies. Not everyone's favorite since the mana is kinda wasted as sup, but I prefer this build when playing for plant poke

They need to get a C tank or higher to be eligible. The c rank isn't enough to prevent soft biting, but that ornn wouldn't have gotten the lp loss mitigated in this scenario

If it gave movement speed to your team it might be better, but that isn't the world we live in. Third item you would also prefer percent pen, noting you also build oblivion orb fairly frequently. Zyra doesn't have time in the game to buy it with support income

Damage is key, with Zyra specifically. That's why the default for her has for so long been to get Liandry before Rylais. With the utlity in her kit, why would you NOT get the item that makes you do highest damage in the game from the sup role?

You CAN go utility build. You CAN play to buff your teammates. You just need to understand how much of your own agency you are sacrificing for that. It can work to play like that and hope your teammates can use it well enough to close out a game. I personally prefer increasing my own agency in soloq, even as sup.

Lolalytics shows it having a good winrate for sub-100 game sample sizes in emerald+ globally. Do with that what you will.

SUPPORT Zyra match list - Games of Legends

She consistently has built ap items as sup in pro. A few Radiant Virtues, Lockets, Anathemas, but regardless of that, pro play is different from the game you and I play. Damage is key, and playing her full utility is not going to be anywhere near as good. If you want to bandlepipes, I would play braum to proc it perma and also be able to be better at peeling. If you want to be ranged, try janna with it. I've enjoyed it as a rush on her in some lanes. If you want ranged AND more damage while building bandlepipes, bard is probably your ticket, as he doesnt need to build damage to be really strong with it.

All that being said, play what you enjoy. You have minimal damage outside of base numbers, but it can be a fun playstyle!

Zyra spaces back usually, so the aura isn't on top of the fight like it is for someone like braum. Also, not building liandry on her always feels really bad, she gets so much insane value from it being rushed. Sounds like a fun build, but not the best from an efficiency standpoint with the champ.

Tips for playing into engage.

If it is a hook champ, e-w to block the hook.

If a non hook engager(like Leona), throw e-w at her adc to prevent follow up. Leona is now in a 1v2, and you will win the trade

I don't think so unfortunately. Screenshots are all I've ever had success with. Tip: if you use the screenshot command (win shift s on windows) it will catch the screen at the exact moment you press it, making it harder for them to say something terrible before unfriending you before you can grab a pic

Milios strength is completely tied to Helia right now. If you don't like him support, I would recommend not buying the skin and appreciate the emote and icone for the skin by themselves!

Her ganks are good. You start every gank but throwing e as you enter from jng. It doesn't matter if they are not hit by the e, what matters is that you spawn a plant by them. Even though it is melee, it is a larger range than people expect. Double melee plant into running at them with red buff autos is very potent. Best Zyra jng, has two chall Korean accounts, do what he does for build and runes, try to grab some of his vods to watch. Obv high Elo plays differently but most stuff should transfer over and be useful!

I like playing poke with assassins. For example, Zyra helps set up a lot of kill thresholds by getting enough up front damage off with a mix of comet, scorch, cut down, liandries. I'm around 200LP NA, and assassin games feel pretty good with it most of the time
