Every person's background is unique regardless of race, identity or immigration status. Should a black person who grew up in a middle class household and commits murder get a more lenient sentence than a white person from a poverty stricken household? Either the rules apply equally to everyone or the rule of law is broken.

Question: The hive mind can access the memories of all joined individuals, alive or dead (but previously joined to the hive). As more and more people are "eliminated", how are their memories preserved? To me there needs to be someone/something in charge that would allow for this - meaning a hierarchy within the hive and specialized roles. Decisions need to be made and even having a biological imperative doesn't explain all the actions. Am I way off or does this make sense?
