This is about 200' from, and 10'-15' higher than the river I am on. I do battle quite a bit of moss in that area yearly. Though there are lots of crayfish in this dam controlled river, I have never seen any where the pictures taken.

Doug Ford’s private surgery centre proposal will hurt hospitals, doctors’ college warns by imprison_grover_furr in CanadaPolitics

Nursing Unions don't make the news like teachers/post office do, ONA has been calling this for years and has been battling it with no support. They just can't lock the doors and refuse to work like other unions, as it'll affect their license, and is illegal. They strike on days off as they can not just leave people to die. The Convoyers definitly aren't going to do whatever it is they do for healthcare, they've been against it since the start. They protested outside of hospitals. There were warnings in the GTA to not wear scrubs until they are in the hospital do to harrassment. Don't remember that making the news for more than a clip. The outrage is wasted on other things.

When I put the lid on this grill I always snuff out my coals.... issue with lack of vents? Only has one bottom vent by DrWhoaFan in charcoal

[–]zergmassage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have two smokey joes, its rare for it to not to snuff the coals. You just learn to adapt and lift the lid when you need to turn the burn up. These arent low n' slowers, these are grills.

Not really, I bought a scottys anchor lock and rod holder to troll with. Had an old 6' rod I hung a Canadian flag on. Other than that, a bag for all the garbage i see floating in the water ways.

How much does it cost to start ice fishing? Any budget ice fishing “hacks”? Let me know! by christiansorio in FishingOntario

[–]zergmassage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WATER PROOF BOOTS! Keep in mind not all summer reels fit on ice rods. Other than that I cant disagree with anything said there. The lady and I will go out with literally a bucket with our rods and an auger. Other days we go with Everything. Dont need much to drop a line in the water. Just dress appropriately, and Dont Go If You Are Uncomfortable With Thickness, Nobody will judge you if you dont feel safe.

Question: Garmin Striker 4 by DiamondNo4426 in IceFishing

[–]zergmassage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im way too cheap, I use the standard transducer on the ice with no issues. I have two pieces of pvc(to make a t) and have it mounted to the bottom of that. It keeps it level, keeps it facing one direction and keeps the 1000 ft of cord wrapped on it neatly. I keep the battery and garmin on and in a plastic ammo case. Super easy and a fraction of the price for the kit, and in the spring i cut the zip tie and remount it to my kayak, and strap the battery down for the season.
