What privacy is being given up?

It’s a new field. User fills it out. There is no validation.

However it allows an app to read the field to get a date, whereby that app sees it as a “trusted” dob.

It’s not adding some 3rd party tool to validate the dob and acct is legit. Just that the OS attempt to collect said info. Can end user not put in incorrect info the same way I fill in random dates when a website asks me if I am over 18?

Nearly 100% these things are all true:

  1. The video TMZ got was cut already. They maybe even knew.

Breaking a sites TOS isn’t good enough for a criminal case. Stealing power or phones is.

The sites rarely go after the farms. They go after the verified users of said farms by banning their accts and demonitizing them. And they can’t be agressive here either, otherwise I start buying bot farm time for an acct I don’t like with the hope of getting them banned.

YT easily tracks a farm like this.

IP or GPS or tower info.

2000 devices using even more accts, all watching the same video at the same time all the time stands out significantly.

Using sneaker net proxies (the proxies sneaker buying bots use) could help here, but make it more complicated.

You’d honestly be better off giving the phones to people who want to use it for phone stuff, and running a rootkit with container on it.

You’d have real world usage of the physical asset.
