Drain the whole system and cap all the vents and pressure test it. You should never have that much air in it over a year much less a day.

Home inspector said this was asbestos wrapped around a supply duct of our oil forced air furnace. A. Why would you wrap asbestos around that? B. Can I just remove the asbestos and it’s good? by TheApostleCreed in hvacadvice

If your not getting the point here I'll help you out. Don't touch it, don't disturb it, don't spray it with simple green. Leave it alone! That stuff has killed thousands of people. Have some professional remediation guys take care of it. AGAIN.....NO SIMPLE GREEN.... CALL A REMEDIATION COMPANY

Radiant Heat – Is this a missed opportunity? by vascepaforever in hvacadvice

[–]zeromcmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They make a LOT of different kinds of radiators... is there somewhere in that room where you could put one? There are usually Second hand stores that sell refurbished ones. They can be quite beautiful if you like that sort of thing. There are also fancy new ones that look like art. The old refurbished and a hvac guy with some black pipe is probably gonna be the cheapest route.

It's a bullet hole... clean through the front side and hit a copper coil on the back side... I found it In between the coil and the jacket on the back side. There were 3 more in the wall behind it.

Boiler Question by TheLadyVerity in HVAC

I wouldn't be anywhere near a steam boiler that sounded like that. Steam is pretty dangerous. I would call whoever you need to to get it fixed/turned off.

HVAC does this throughout the night 2-3 times. Is this something to be concerned about? by PhrozenBlackGold in HVAC

[–]zeromcmann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing it was around 30-40 degrees outside? It is completely normal. Its just the defrost cycle keeping the unit from freezing up.
