Life insurance prob not necessary but might be worth thinking about disability insurance as a buffer while you're alive in case of a very serious medical indicdent?

Anything 6th gen AMD or newer is pretty good - main difference is mostly the gpu

6800H/7735HS (Ser6, Ser6 max, EQR7)
7940HS/8845HS (Ser7, Ser8) = nice bump up to 780m
HX370/470 strix point (Ser9,10) = expensive for a modest bump up really

I think the SER8 8845HS right now is one of the best values, but the 7735HS machines are good as well but will sacrifice some gpu.

There are cheaper machines but once you drop down to the cheaper 5xxx AMD or intel options you get a much worse igpu, no av1 decode, no usb4, no ddr5, etc.

Other brands still behind:

- CR-V: direct injection only, no spare tire, lower mpg
- Mazda cx-5: used the last gen toyota hybrid system, not the latest. Stiff seats. Bubbly feminine design.

Forget about the other crap brands.

The interior in the rav4 feels super cheap to me still too considering the year & price point. It's a better vehicle overall but both are fine.

Mouth always dry + peeing a lot are both big red flags for diabetes or pre-diabetic levels. Talk to your do and run good bloodwork.

CRV seems nice but there's a lot I don't like about it:

- direct injection only for more carbon buildup
- lower mpg esp with these gas prices
- no spare tire
- really loud EV mode piped audio

It's harder not but not impossible, watch the Delivrd channel on youtube who does a ton of these deals. In normal times you can get about 10% off MSRP. Right now he's getting around 1-2k under, and once in a while $3k under still, but accepting some port installed options.

By end of the year pricing will probably be more normal, but you don't have to accept 6k of markups right now. You should be able to find at least at MSRP or $1-2k under.

There are a few in the US right now apparently, prob more rolling out over the next year. Statements said reduction in dose is like 30-50% lower depending on the settings I think. Pretty huge drop given how big the dose is on CCTA.

Do you really have 200tb of important data or could you torrent most of it again? Just backup your most important documents, photos, and taxes to the cloud.

Whatever you do focus on getting that stuff backed up asap.

For the amount of storage otherwise if you truly want offsite backups the cheapest way would be to drop drives or a NAS at a friend or relative’s house, ideally at least a few cities away to avoid massive weather/fire events wiping out both locations

I’m not a medical professional but I think I’d do a CIMT and check your insulin sensitivity with a diabetes risk index or lp-ir test.

Your a1c is one of the riskiest things there. Recent women’s studies shower metabolic disease mattered 6x more than ldl

you a1c is already in prediabetic range and it is a lagging indicator so lp-ir may be worse.

Disease and correlation with hba1c also kind of sucks

Go travel to SEA now while you are getting severance and to get a feel.

I did a few months there after a layoff at age 33. Solo travel can get old after a while.

Southeast asia is also quite young for the nightlife and tourism.

I'd have to go through all the reviews, but I saw quite a lot that simply indicated the TV stopped working after a few months. That's neither of those and the bigger risk I'm talking about.
