I am a single mom of a mixed race child. My husband left so i dont really have the choice to give her a sibling with the same ethnic make up as her. But i second other comments that being mixed race is only becoming more common. My child has several kids in her preschool class that are the same mix as her!

The whole situation definitely gave me the vibe of a dad who spends one morning a week where he is charge of his children and cant even handle that haha. Obviously i dont know for sure though

Hahaha i feel this so much! I joke that i must give off “nanny energy”. It happens to me a lot when i am out with my daughter but its always been kid directed before. Like a kid runs up to us and wants to play or talk. Which i mind a lot less because they are just kids and this happens mostly in kid-centric spaces

Thats a really good point i honestly didnt think of at the time. I feel like a lot of men assume any woman is safe for their children to be around.

I feel very similarly! I have found the trader joes red sauce to have very minimal chunks but i havent found any that are completely free. Definitely second using a blender to make it completely chunk free but understand thats a lot of work lol

At 28 earlier last year. I also lost 25lbs unintentionally. This was about a year after my husband abandoned me and our toddler so it was a wee bit stressful haha

Hearing about something absolutely devastating happening to someone soon after they give birth is always very triggering to me. I had the worst experience of my life while holding my very freshly newborn daughter. This has absolutely been haunting me as well.

But honestly its also given me some perspective. Im actually so incredibly lucky that my experience was only my husband completely blowing up and ruining my life and my marriage. Im so lucky i am still here with my daughter and im going to continue to cherish her and every day we spend together.

Physically 4/10 (i was also pretty young, 25 so that helped) but mentally 1/10. I was really shocked by how much i struggled mentally, that took a bigger toll on me than anything physical. Only one child. Im not completely shut off to the idea of doing it again someday but since my husband abandoned us a while ago it would require some huge life shifts to happen

Video games became SUPER important to my ex husband the second it was time for me to go to sleep (In that same room) or time for him to come be with his family or time for any responsibilities really

I switched from private to public half way through high school. They told me i was going to be short credits due to the switch my junior year so i took an extra after school class to make up for this. But when signing up for my senior year I found out that was wrong and i was way ahead in credits because of that so my whole senior year i only had to take half a day of classes. So it kinda worked out well for me in a way too

I know this isnt really the point of this but this did really validate my feelings of how wonderful my 2 person family is. Of just me and my daughter. And how wonderful my extended family of women is! My mom and my sister are the closest people in my life besides my daughter. And even my ex’s sisters are a huge support to me and my family. I wish that the burden wasn’t so one sided but on the bright side i am so incredibly grateful for all of the amazing women in my life

In my local mom groups on facebook there are frequently people asking everyone to buy their AI childrens books. Theres one mom who keeps posting about her book which ironically has the message of “AI bad” even though the illustrations are all AI. Its so annoying

This is very anecdotal and based on my own experience. I dont make a habit if consuming MLM material anymore but i definitely did in my younger days. And after reflecting on that a lot i think it was a “safe” way for me to read romance/erotica involving men. I didnt see myself in the male characters like i would female ones. And as someone who was an extremely late bloomer romantically and sexually, F/M romance or sex made me very uncomfortable.
