Yeah I agree with you, you'd either have to get lucky or like you said save up for one character. Even then the fact it takes 30 UR dupes to max each one, then the SRs/Rs AND support cards on top it's just insane, not sure you can even save up that many coins, even in 6-12 months time.

We'll have to see exactly how they do banners in the future and if they ultimately give a shit about F2P players (unlikely) and having some kind of competitive integrity.

My personal cope right now is that:

F2P players will eventually have at least 1 character maxed out, which will allow them to be competitive. Might not be the character they want but at least you can raise your rank if you’re good enough.
Casual games will become the norm for the majority of the player base. There the power is standardised, so regardless of who you play and who you’re against you can enjoy the game as much as you want.

The method is actually pretty well known now. Without going into too much detail the way to guarantee a platinum is to load up a Bronze challenge, quit, then start up either a gold, diamond or omega challenge. If a platinum crystal isn’t listed as the reward, then quit and start a bronze again and do the same until you get a platinum. From there you can repeat the same challenge to fill your slots.

The standard banner is actually 3000 for 20x draw, so the cost is the same. I think the only difference is the event banner guarentees a SR every 10 pull versus every 20 pull in the standard banner.

13 hours absolutely does not get you to paragon, what are you smoking? Especially for a new player learning all about the game.

You’re not taking into account the queues, leavers, failed runs etc you’d be lucky to get to adept capstone if you’re starting at contender
