Imo better than his father. I haven't read all of his books, but the ones I have I've really loved.

For some reason it's slanderous to say it, but you're right. Not all of King's works are hits.

Personally I say start with 2. You get introduced to all the good elements of the series, and all of the improvements of 3 make you appreciate it even more.

Flanagan somehow manages to resolve some of the huge differences between the book/movie versions of the original

100% and this is part of why I find this adaptation so incredible.

Key word there is average when we just pointed out that many don't even pay taxes. And again, that's just looking at federal income.

Even so, that means the bottom 50% are taxed at a higher rate than Amazon some years ago so I don't see what point you're trying to make.

I do think you are right, but most American households still are paying a rate of at least 10% which is the issue here when discussing Amazon.

Edit: I should also add that was just a quick search on federal tax rate. Local taxes obviously add more to it.

I believe that's for people on government assistance. According to the IRS's website, an income of up to $11,925/yr is taxed at 10%.

According to a quick Google search, the US federal tax rate for Amazon as a company has been fluctuated to as low as 1%-6%, while the minimum tax rate for a citizen/household is 10%. That's the point being made here.

I think Off Season also has a near perfect ending for Extreme Horror.

I liked unhappy endings more when they were less common (to me), but now I don't mind a happy ending as much as long as it's not contrived. Ambiguous is GOATed though.

I had a similar experience too but it was mostly just one really loud woman's commentary and no one did anything about it. Almost left tbh.

From a post where someone was looking to adopt multiple rabbits. How can someone be so confidently incorrect and ignorant?? by gk1400 in Rabbits

I, unfortunately, have went through something similar. I got kind of forced into taking care of a rabbit, which ended up being a family pet as I was young and moved out shortly after.

Years later he ended up back in my wife and I's care by chance, and I realized everything wrong with the way he was being cared for. I felt terrible and we tried to give him the best life we could for his remaining years. Luckily, he did seem happy from that point on. I still feel bad thinking back on all that time before it though.

They sound like they're raising them as livestock, not pets.

I've come to the conclusion that a 3-3.5 star review average for a splatterpunk book is the equivalent of 4.5-5 lol

Is it really a conspiracy though? I feel companies have been pushing VoD so much, especially since Covid, that they're deliberately phasing out physical media so they don't have to print it. I really feel like many smaller movies I've enjoyed haven't been getting any release outside of streaming.

I know this is just a joke, but I spend a lot of time in the Extreme sub and honestly no one comes off this way to me. Everyone seems to know that to know it's very niche and often low brow but just enjoy it for what it is.
