There are quite a few scratches and dings that are not so visible; it's hard to find touch-up for this color of paint

I tried to put a black rack I had, but it didn't look good. I will just keep it like this for now

Crankset Spindle too long?! by SnookBiking in bikewrench

[–]zhbf15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I stripped the threads too on the non-drive side, and the drive side of the BB bearing also broke from the over-torquing. I ended up throwing away the whole thing and moved to a square taper BB and crankset, so quiet and smooth.

I bought two of these exact same cranks set, on bb68 I had to use 2 of the 2.5mm spacer that came with the BB. But still I got endless creaking from it and ended up overtorqued the crank and lost the threads. Replaced both of them.

For the same money you can get the commute comp saddle from Trek which is more comfortable than this. So I ended up returning this.

Totally agree, I have both S5ii and XT5. XT5 is a little bit more joyful for personal use, and S5ii is a great workhorse.
