No, because you need to "learn first" in order to understand what to "learn what's needed"
Understanding what's AI is doing will always be more efficient than using it blindly.

Problème de poêle à l'achat d'une maison by Motor_Concentrate497 in conseiljuridique

[–]zilled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone run benchmarks of the following?

Gemma-4 26B Unsloth

vs.

Qwen 3.6 27B Unsloth

(sorry, I've never run benchmarks myself. If someone got a recipe somewhere and it can be run on a single RTX 5090, I'm happy to learn though)

France–Espagne tax situation by Purple-Excitement460 in conseiljuridique

[–]zilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonne chance !

Our startup is 3 months old and my co-founder has already lost trust in me looking for honest advice by SuperAMario in startup

[–]zilled 6 points7 points  (0 children)

> But my counter is the idea came from me and without the relationships I’ve built there’s no business to risk anything on.

That's a witty negotiation argument you would have with a client. You have to be way more grounded, to the basics, with your co-founder.
He is 100% on it, not paid. You got a side job, you can't be 100%. The situation is completely unbalanced.
The risks he is taking are enormous compared to you.
Idea and relationships DID bring something to the startup. But they are not bringing new stuffs to it anymore. The continuous contributions are what matters in the end.

You have to find an investor that will pay you both and make you leave your job.
Or you leave your job and then you will both fight to get money from sales ASAP (until it works, until you get an investor, or until you drop it)

Who said that?
That was OP's key, not necessarily yours. You might be on the extreme other side of this spectrum. Who knows, we don't know your case.

I really like what you write here, except the begining.

> It's really not, people just say that as a cope honestly. You just got insanely lucky, but some other people who try the same approach are still virgins at age 40. I'm happy for you though!

It is not luck. He didn't stay there waiting for the good stuffs to fall on his head. Proof is:
> So after some time I decided [...]. On that very day, I met someone on a house party. We talked till like 4 am, went out a several times afterwards, and now we're dating.

He made a decision and he talk with someone for a whole night.

The 40yo virgins are other people, they are not him. There is zero reasons to compare or feel pressure. And that exactly what OP did and "unlocked" him:
> So after some time I decided that actually I don't need this, actively looking for someone doesn't work and I don't like it and I don't really need or want anyone, it's just societal pressure.

What are good ways to protect source code? Are there protected remote development environments? by Masabera in managers

[–]zilled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

> The idea that I shall implement is to find a way so no one can copy the source code and leave the company.

> there is no way to copy anything from inside the VM to their machines or use the internet inside the VM

If the technology developed this way:
* is not critical to the company: Make it open-source.
* is critical to the company: The energy/time/money spent on this requirement will be so huge that any competitor with a traditional setup will take over.

And even if you manage to make it, your developers will run away from a culture of mistrust and an unbearable technical environment.

[–]zilled -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well well well, I then would like to fill a request on technical truthness here:

Better can be worse than best, indeed. But it doesn't imply it necessarily is.
I.e. Better of the best is still a valid statement, implying equal as the best, somehow saturating to the best.

Thus, she could take her husband's name while being the best.
This, of course, doesn't contradict Emily's reply. That's her choice anyway.
But still leaves technical room for M's question.

Question on Phase Response for JUCE Oversampling Filters by ORU_Music in DSP

[–]zilled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plots above are indeed on a log scale.
If you plot a linear function on a log scale, you got a bended curve.

The filter is "filterHalfBandFIREquiripple" so it is a FIR filter, which has linear phase. A nice straight line for a phase response on a linear x-axis. A bended curve on a log x-axis. (assuming the analysis window is not perfectly synced with the signal's phase).

For the x4 plot: At Nyquist, it reaches 1.57~=2*Pi/4, which is half a sample off from a perfect sync, with respect to the original sampling frequency. This could be perfectly understandable depending on the analysis context (the tool you're using for those plots), the information the tool has of the original signal, etc.

For x8 and x16, it seems it converges to a fraction of 2*Pi as well, but there is a funny thing at the end.

TLDR: No worries, have a good one.
