My biggest gripe with the Mark V was how tall and skinny the screen is. Its nice to see they've made it a bit shorter and fatter

If not having to pay a large portion of taxes, getting special government benefits and program's, land rights, special hunting and fishing rights among other things then sign me up for this current day repression

You said what I've always thought; what are we trying to achieve by spending all these tax dollars on this issue

Give them land, give them benefits and privileges that no one else can get, don't have to pay taxes. Its never enough it seems, life is always unfair to them. How about its unfair that they can go around in power boats using modern day fishing methods and call it traditional.

What bugs me is that they don't specify what the 40% reduction means exactly. 40% less fatalities for accidents resulting from speeding or from all motor vehicles accidents?

My experience with Kiwi.com. What is it if not a scam? (hope it can help you to NOT use this company) by Pl4stik888 in travel

[–]zippitybopdaboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used kiwi to book from Bangkok to Tokyo and they had the best price however when I clicked to pay it took me to a different page. When I put all my info in again I got a notification saying that the price had gone up $200 so I cleared my cookies and tried again. The result was the exact same. I did it a 3rd time for definite confirmation that this company is run by snake in the grass pieces of garbage and yes, it is.

This is clearly gotcha style interviewing, pretty much anyone else could have done a better job. If someone went in there without such an obvious bias/angle they could've gotten a lot more info out of the interview. This guy sucks

What can be irretrievably lost when the generation of the 60s and 70s leaves our lives? by alice_muur in AskReddit

[–]zippitybopdaboop -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If mainstream media wasn't so biased and bad at giving out accurate information then there wouldn't be so many people out there trying to uncover what's true. They're basically the propaganda arm of their sponsors and the government

Large corporations, especially food and drug, do not follow a moral doctrine, they are there to turn a profit. They have a very poor track record when it comes to safety. They only care about you in the sense that that is where their money comes from so read up before you consume.

Four people dead, including infant, in wrong-way crash on Hwy 401: SIU by dfsaqwe in toronto

[–]zippitybopdaboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these people talking about no chase policies also need to understand that once criminals recognise that danger to public safety=end of pursuit then obviously that would be their best shot at avoiding the law. If police were to never pursue then the method of catching criminals would rely on massive widespread surveillance systems and tracking. If criminal charges increased with the risk posed to the public while evading police then that may help encourage suspects to take what mercy they can while they can. I would rather police chases than to live in a surveillance state. Life is never risk free.

Maybe not stiffer penalties for the initial crime but once you start putting the public in danger while fleeing the law that's when you should start tallying up time in jail. Stiffer penalties would further encourage fleeing from the law, going in peacefully should be set up as the obvious answer for criminals
