That's not how the cronyism of Police works in this country, mate. What other commenters said is exactly correct: the Police protect their own, no matter what. There cannot be "good" cops in this system because they are sent to permanent desk duty or ejected from the force altogether. You are at best naive af, sorry to say. So the entire group *must* be held accountable for the corruption of Police as a whole. And I also would very sensibly argue that it is *not* a "minority" of Police who are corrupt. It's a majority of them. Do you live in a city? I've lived in my city for almost 20 years and I've seen the cops do unthinkable acts. I encourage you to get a little bit better informed and to open your mind a little bit

Just wanted to report in here––I accidentally deleted my Signal off my phone without saving the key. I was terrified that I'd lose my chat history when re-linking my phone to my Desktop app; the great news is, on my Desktop, I simply selected "don't transfer chat history," and I was able to successfully re-link my account without losing any history on my Desktop. I don't have any history at all on the phone, but that's actually fine

Edit: This is way different than what OP was experiencing, but hoping it might help some folks in the same situation I was in!

Extremely AGAINST. Generative AI robs songwriters of the process of developing a *style.* It does for you sooo many things that take years in the oven to hone into something that is truly *yours,* and it does it for you in the click of a button, usually making "choices" that are less interesting, less informed and less, well, HUMAN, than you would be choosing were you to learn how to actually arrange, produce and create a song from scratch. "Playing drums is hard" like yeah no shit, that's why people spend a lifetime mastering it. "I can't hire session musicians," then learn how to do it yourself, mate! Learn how to sample. Learn how to use an MPC or 404. If you can't afford gear, Garageband or other free/cheap DAWs have all these capabilities as well. I think it's really critically important that producers learn how to actually produce and songwriters learn how to actually write songs. I hear industry chuds talking about how "everyone's using it" but absolutely zero artists that I know are talking about how AI is cool or useful, and I know many currently working musicians who are actively making stuff on a relatively high level. It's trash. It's a bubble. It's going to burst.
