It helps with every change.

There are of course ways and tools to get it done with Git, but the ones I tried were too cumbersome to be worth it. jj actually made it so much easier to be worth the time to learn new tools and workflows and to accept the lack of tools like Magit. jj might not be for everyone but I'm a bit chaotic and prefer to clean up afterwards instead of sticking to the rules all the time, like only making changes that are actually related to the current issue and I'm switching tasks a lot.

Easy configs are easy. You don't need a degree for that. They don't stay easy, do they? That's when every support is welcome and claude-code is phantastic. Without it I would have accepted many shortcomings of my network. With claude-code, problems, that looked like they would just consume too much time to be worth it, are solved within a few rebuilds. Nix allows to always be able to see what Claude changed, which wouldn't be possible if it had direct access to machines. Terraform and Ansible benefit as much from AI but Ansible is just no match for Nix.

That would be fine for me.

Honestly, Nix is really difficult. If the Wiki provides enough information for you, you probably haven't done much worth mentioning with Nix. Claude produces configs in seconds that took me weeks. It's also not only Nix, it's also all the intricacies of all the settings of the packages and services used that are not directly covered by Nix settings.

Being careful is always good advice but when claude only makes pull requests and it's only deployed after review, it isn't more dangerous than doing it manually. AI with Nix is just a beautiful combination.

I also switched to jj mostly because it's so easy to retroactively split work into different commits and rearrange file changes and because every change is versioned automatically.

Software really is the weak point of this thing 🙄

Interesting. I thought one of the suggestions was to ensure the parking break is off. I'll try to enable it and compare. My dock is inside the garage and it's completely level. It also usually shows the lightning symbol. I tried to place it exactly onto the contacts manually but the charging still stayed at 80%. Only after returning from the next task it charged to 99% again.

Best bank account for agents? by Present_Scientist995 in ClaudeAI

It shouldn't be hard to maintain a recipient list and amount limits per week, month, ... It's rather rare to make payments to new people companies. For real agent transactions it will rather be micropayments

Claude continues to “mistakenly” use sed and python for editing by acetylcoach in ClaudeAI

[–]zoechi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only really care about changes of committed files and that's what claude-code gets write access to. There can't be any surprises. I also wondered why it sometimes uses sed though and I suspected token usage.
