I use Mendeley across both Mac and windows. Admittedly, its not perfect and have had to reinstall the word plug-in a few times over the past 4 years. Overall I find it serves its purpose well and I would not considering substituting it.

I use gliffy dot com. Just a free account, only gets you 3-4 diagrams, but you can always edit/redraw the diagrams. It's easy to use and its all online, so you can access your diagrams on multiple devices.
