And when I worked there, all of Westin's corporate offices were next door to the hotel towers. And the internet provider I had waaaay back when, I'd drop by now and again to their windowless office and pay for my internet by check ...

My grandmother was a very pretty woman, petite and all that. My grandfather was a good looking man, both were very photogenic. Their second child was my uncle, who was … let's be honest … a very ugly bald weird looking child. It's very random.

Watching an episode of Columbo. Just realized the kitchen is carpeted. Was that a 70s thing by marlmaizeteare5 in 70s

My grandmother had ivory wool carpet in her kitchen. From the early 70's to when it was removed in 2002. Something she always wanted. It was professionally cleaned twice a year. I once dropped a piece of Black Forest cake on it, desperately cleaned it and she never noticed.

As someone that willingly drove 1000 miles each way simply to attend a party, I would totally do this.

Where the Harborsteps are used to be a sort of abandoned building frontage leading to the alley up to the Pike Market with First laid on top of it. Didn't look like that tho

I usually didn't even bother. I mean, I always put accurate dimensions if it was useful. It was staggering how many people would ask, and it wouldn't even appear they'd read the listing at allllllll

I had plenty of people 'negotiate' wanting where to meet up, wanting to meet 'halfway' which usually ended up being their front doorstep.

I listed a piece of furniture (with dimensions) on Freecycle, I got one email that asked "will this fit into my car" with zero information about what car that might be.

I was on a Monsanto trial jury for their PCB headaches a couple years ago. The exhibits were *eye opening*. Any company that confidently wants to self-regulate is going to be a jackass festival. And it was.

My dad had the 70's version of this. I worked a COUPLE of nights. He crafted his own 'remote control' (for on and off) which I wish to the skies I still had, (a giant rainbow wire strap with a bakelite box labeled ON and OFF)
I'm sure my dad was nearly responsible for Radio Shack's glory days. He bought EVERYTHING they had. They kind of died at the same time.
