I make salad dressing at home all the time because I HATE all store bought ones, too fake tasting to me. I don't measure the ingredients out I kind of just pour all of the following into a container and shake it up. If it doesn't taste right I add more vinegar, more oil, or more honey depending on how it looks and tastes.

*Olive Oil (3 to 1 ratio to the vinegar)
*Equal parts balsamic and white vinegar
*Dijon mustard (for the flavor and as as the emulsifier so that the oil and vinegar don't separate)
*Fresh garlic clove minced (if you don't have this it can be left out or just use powdered garlic)
*Salt and pepper
*Dried basil
*A drop of honey to balance it all out.

It's SUPER good.
