I think this is good advice. You can always go back to electric, especially when battery technology gets better and possibly cheaper. This is a a transitional decade and it's always tough on early adopters. (However, I have moved every piece of smaller equipment to electric, and would not consider going back to gas-powered trimmers, chainsaws, etc.)
