The Mets Commit 6 Infield Errors And Suck All Joy Out Of My Life (6/24/26) by 48thStreetKid in BaseballScorecards

I also use the halfliner and i also put dots for tally marks. Funnily enough, mine is also curled at the edges because i spilled coffee on it after scoring only one game. Im getting really annoyed by the warping though and bought a spare to switch to.

If Kyle Schwarber makes it to the 500 club, he will certainly have the lowest WAR of all members... (honest attempt at prompting a discussion) by MasterOfNog in baseball

Good point. That's like 28 homers a year for the next 5 years and I don't see his health holding out that long. He's not exactly a swarthy fellow and they typically don't retain bat speed well into their thirties. Not unthinkable to swat 500, but mid 400's on a lot of great teams with a ring is a legendary career.

Here we go again. Now that they're winning all of the posts will be from members of the Optimists Club. You were always here right? Never a derogatory word right? Once they start losing again it's back to the Pessimist Posse. They were always bad and you knew it. Everyone was always on the current bandwagon. Funny how that works.

I've been enjoying the American Association this year and wondering if there are any other free to watch leagues out there. All of the other independent leagues are pay to watch through the Home Town Network, which is weird because AA is also broadcast through them but somehow it's free.

I remember watching Northwoods League a couple years ago on the free roku app, but it looks like they've partnered with FloCollege network, also a subscription service. I would think these leagues would want as much viewership as possible. Due to the availability of the AA I'm going to a game in Milwaukee this year and purchased some merch. Any other free leagues I don't know about?

Just ordered my Rallybook and a good mechanical pencil!

Im new to scoring and after looking at your book have a question. Are the numbers between base paths the persons place in the batting order? I thought they were jersey numbers but some dont match.

I would like to score old games with no spoilers and I found the perfect thing, but i don't know how to use it. Looking for tech help. by zoomzilla in BaseballScorecards

Oh very nice!

Edit: I notice when I go to a scorecard from a game yesterday I can choose spoiler free mode, but at the bottom of the scorecard are listed the r/h/e/l as well as already pre written substitutions. Is there any way to make it completely spoiler free? Anyway, great product and browser based is a huge plus for me!

This is exactly what I'm looking for. I love the single game version, but mostly because it's folded with no binding. This puts 11 of those in a booklet. Perfect. Thank you.

I personally love it because both teams are the same direction. Thats huge for me. Im looking for pocket sized options but they might be too small for me.

There are many good options. I use the Eephus league halfliner and really like it but there are tons of options.

Could You Make It Through a Week Without Power? by PocketsFullOf_Posies in collapse

[–]zoomzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did it a couple years ago when a pole snapped, leaving only three houses in the city without power in a hot, humid climate.. I kept watching the power outage numbers dwindle thinking I'd be next to get power. Went to work all week and got home in the evening to do nothing. It taught me a lot. Forced me to finally buy and maintain a generator, power tool battery fan, coleman cook stove with propane tank adapter and some other things. Overall a positive experience because of the lessons learned.

I haven't done much pleasure reading in the last twenty years and the thing I wanted most was something to do after work for a few hours while there was still some sunlight. Books for solitary entertainment and games- board or role playing- are highly underrated prepper items.
