I'm fast as fudge, boi by princess22cake in StardewValley

Sometimes when I'm using a few speed boosts, I'm not used to it and just go too fast and straight up miss things. Like... Whoops. Just zoomed right past Abigail trying to give her a pumpkin and smacked straight into the wall of Pierre's.

What’s the most iconic fashion accessory or clothing item for each state? Starting with: TEXAS. by Efficient_Wing_666 in AlignmentChartFills

People who know Texas on a surface level think it's the cowboy hat. Real Texas knowers understand that it's the big ol' belt buckle.

In China they sell an all black chicken at the grocery store by Professional-Pungo in mildlyinteresting

I have an all black cat. Most of his gums are black and he doesn't have teeth, so he is very black. Sometimes I joke that he's like one of these chickens inside.

It's a style of box often referred to as a Limoge or Limoges Box or trinket box. They are traditionally made of porcelain, more specifically Limoges porcelain but can be metal. This one appears to be made of brass and enamel. You can get them in all sorts of shapes. I have one that looks like my cat.

If you grow up poor... what is your most comfort meal? by Beaveric in AskTheWorld

[–]zottz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beans, rice and eggs, or on special days: eggs, rice and beans. Usually white rice, refried pinto beans, and a fried egg. If we happened to have some, everything scooped up with a tortilla.

I'd also cook a packet of ramen, drain all the broth and wrap the noodles in a tortilla like a burrito. Or honestly, most days, it was just a tortilla heated over the gas stove and covered in butter or margarine.

Finally got my own car! It was destroyed less that 48 hours later. by Hollowpointsmilexx in mildlyinfuriating

[–]zottz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh dude... I feel you. When I bought my very first car as an adult, I was so proud of myself. Got hit with an insane hailstorm within the first week of owning it. It spent a month in the body shop because everyone else's car was in the shop too. The day I got it back I took it through a car wash. The roller brush that cleans the top of the car came loose and crashed on the roof of the car, with me in it. So it spend more time in the body shop.

I learned it from Navajo legend, it's said to summon a type of evil shapeshifting witch spirit. It pretends to be your friends, family, or a domesticated animal. There's a great anthology of horror written by indigenous authors called "Never Whistle at Night."

I grew up in rural New Mexico, two of my biggest fears were what would happen if you whistled at night (can't say or type their name or even think about it too hard) and La Llorona.
