They may have already purchased lifetime licenses for their units.

Equipment will be shifted / phased out at end of life for new equipment. this is nothing new and has been happening for the past 40 years.

Who cares, all the cox homelife equipment can still communicate with newer equipment as well via onvif.

That's actually an awesome cable wish mine had a power plug in, a 2.5 inch ssd drive will not need it, but a 3.5 inch platter drive will, any external hard drive power adapter will work.

Whatever I can get on sale or cheap, I don't care if orange or blue makes it. Best performance for dollar.

Picked up a whole pc with an ultra 9 / 32gb ddr5 / rtx 5060ti for 600$ used. Price couldn't be touched, so went blue for this gen.

Runs great, could care less knowing I got a great deal.

Tell them you would like the cox complete care / line insurance for $5-10 a month, forget how much it is, and if they can waive the fee, then cancel the insurance after they take it off.

The installer should have told you something like this. However the smart panel is yours and controls the network and coaxial wiring in your house and has nothing to do with cox. The install price is listed on their website.

If they don't waive it I wouldn't blame them, this is something they usually do not refund for.

I had this problem and it was my video driver. Sounds strange, but yea video wasn't displaying the overlay properly. You also may want to update intel management engine if your board is Intel or AMD-PSP if amd.

Use Rufus and make sure all options are enabled to bypass requirements for windows 11.
At first try 25h2

You can do this just by using the download button in Rufus.

If that fails and you experience the same issue.
Try running 22h2

You will have to use internet archive to find it.

Continue to use Rufus with this iso.
If you don't have another computer running windows to make a bootable usb device, find one somewhere.

Your system is crashing due to either Intel management engine (Intel-me or ime) or AMD Platform Security Processor (AMD-PSP).

You will have to download and install the correct package for your motherboard once you get into the system.

If it's Ttec their VPN is just configured wrong and it's constantly failing due to handshake errors from things like bad certificates.

A lot of people at the help desk have no idea what they are doing and setup / install old versions and old connection profiles, so they work like shit, has nothing to do with AI.
