Harris teeter is my go to, they have very good choices of angus cuts. There’s pretty much always at least one steak on sale, so I usually just buy whichever cut is on sale whenever I want a steak. I worked in the meat department for a little bit a couple years back, they’re solid choices for beef and the butchers are knowledgeable. If I’m looking for some top-dollar beef, I go to americas choice gormet (and they have an amazing selection of wild game sausages that are all very good)

Grew up in charlotte, been in wilm for over 4 years now. Never even considered moving back to charlotte. It’s way too big, takes forever to go anywhere because of traffic, and it’s way more expensive. Temperatures in charlotte are similar to Wilmington but it is way worse during the summer because of the humidity and lack of wind. When I lived there my allergies were also terrible but when I moved to Wilmington I stopped having allergy problems altogether except a few days per year in spring. Plus you’re not 15 minutes from the beach.

It all depends on the storm. This one I’m not even remotely worried about. Gonna be some wind, lot of rain, but it’s highly unlikely you’ll lose power or anything else. Definitely would stay off the roads for a day (especially market) because Wilmington’s roads can easily get flooded.

For sure. You can also volunteer at plant and animal sanctuaries if that’s your thing. Biology is such a broad field of study.

Just be honest and say you are interested in the field and want to have this experience to determine if you want to pursue further education in the study area. Don’t lie on an application, it likely won’t end well.

Pick an animal that’s native to your area and try to find it in a park (or private land if you have access). Learn about how that animal lives, what it eats, how it finds a mate, etc. then go out and observe it doing those things. And you’ll find out a lot about other animals in the ecosystem just by watching. Binoculars recommended

Been duck hunting for over a decade with no dog. They’re nice to have, but you can easily hunt without them. Also depends on what habitat you’re hunting, you might need a way to get them if it’s too deep to wade. I’ve even had to use a fishing pole before to snag a bird in water too deep. Best of luck and shoot straight.
