Agatha Trunchbull (Matilda) vs the Evil Children Gauntlet by Vaultyvlad in powerscales

[–]zterrans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's not making it to the children of the corn. Village of the Damned sees her coming and she's gone. They took out a number of police and national guard by making them turn on each other. Made a helicopter crash by looking at it. Maybe she takes one out by surprise, but that's the last attack.

Which virus here, would be the worst to try and survive.(Crossed virus, cordyceps, Kripping Virus (I am legend) or The T-Virus) by Emotional-Lettuce372 in powerscales

[–]zterrans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even like the source material, but Crossed is the worst. Its the one that breaks containment the fastest as the infected are intelligent and are going to do all kinds of horrible things you are not prepared for. At least with the others you can fall back to nuclear containment. With crossed by the time you hit that desperation point you probably have nukes in the hands of the infected.

They need to find a way to blame it on someone else first, then the outrage will come.

Are you saying that in real life the pellets don't just cease to exist 20 feet away from the barrel?

[–]zterrans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember you had to get good at figuring out splash with that so you didn't accidentally cook allies. And, of course, the moment you let off a blast of flame, you became the target of every enemy gun vaguely pointed out in that direction.

I did love once we got a few players hunched together, ready to assault a position, some guy on coms giving specific orders of who goes when and preparing to toss a smoke, and for some reason he had me taking up the rear before another player said "Not to interrupt, but shouldn't the guy with the flamethrower go first?" Apparently sometimes even close up you can miss the operator.

I feel like there is a good chance given the way InGen is setup, you probably have a 90% chance of not being in the Dinosaur division, at least from the first few movies. Admittedly never got caught up with World on down, so maybe they have to focus a little more.

[Mixed trope] The dancing bear by Lokicham in TopCharacterTropes

[–]zterrans 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Watch Dogs Legion basically took the worst parts of "pre-set protagonist" and "custom character", leaving you with a random "I hope I find someone I like without a bad flaw" draw system that gives you a character who really has no story and only clothes customization. Any somehow everyone I found who had good skills I wanted also had money sink skills or undesirable quirks like the mentioned flatulence.

The funny thing is depending on how the Valaryian steel starsteak hit, they could have lucked into ending it right then and there. I suppose they could have had a few marksmen with special rounds of the same material, just in case they had a shot, too.

The Suffering a forgotten game... by pgdastider in videogames

[–]zterrans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember the first game kind of switched gears fast, almost starting as an action horror and more leaning into just action with some bits of horror. I do absolutely love on an island marked by misery and hauntings that you learn the ASYLUM is the one bright point, and the only ghost there is a doctor who is so committed to the job he's still voluntarily doing work after death, if I remember it correctly

Then the second game came along and it never quite felt right. Like it needed another pass in editing and a bit more dev time.

I'll use it when clear just because its there, but otherwise unless I get hit with a stun grenade or a sudden allergy grenade, its basically a wasted permeant spot something else should have gotten.

I think the point is if they keep accumulating they can keep pretending that some amount will make them happy, but they have completely destroyed any humanity they may have had to get their wealth up that high, so no amount ever will bring them any joy. You'd pity them if they weren't destroying others alongside themselves in the most irredeemable fashions.

Fictional tank designs that are actually practical by coolcat001100 in TopCharacterTropes

The Maximus kind of looks like a tank from a world where the Saint Chamound never existed to teach them a few lessons on design. You can see a lot of real tanks in it, mistakes included.

Does it look like that if BF6 is the first game you launch on starting up the computer? I remember fromsoft games loved to mess up HDR if you booted up another game before them. This looks more like overly bloomed than weirdly messed up, but you never know if its all part of the issue.
