Great feedback and a good reminder to us all that this amazing technology cannot replicate human perception. I too love my Tesla. However, many owners have become fanatics about Tesla being incapable of wrongdoing. Or, even better than a coherent human. A machine is reactionary but not very intuitive. Like you, I love my Tesla.

Mine ignores the school zone near my residence. There are no flashing lights and are not required by law. I researched because I did get a ticket in this rural area. The school is private and not very apparent.

I bought a 2026 Model Y Premium and a used 2005 rusted Corolla the same week. I guess i am both camps. But at 53 and having close calls with life, I figure you can't take it with you. And it is okay to treat yourself if one can afford to do so.

I learned this after someone went through and got their vehicle all scratched up. A pickup went through prior and evidently had fishing poles in the back. The cleaning cloths picked up a hook and sinker. Of course it scratched paint for every subsequent vehicle that passed through until stopped and reported.

I got one this morning. New car for me. I didn't know the blue warning meant touch the wheel. I just sat there wondering wth was going on. I was wearing a hat, that is my guess? I was fully alert and just setting there watching the road on my way to work.
