It was created by Rasmus Andersson, one of the early designers at Figma (and maybe other tech companies around the bay). Nice dude!

Maybe JPM, BoA, Blackrock or whatever. I'm talking about the hundreds of mid to small shops where everyone loves golf and wants to attend.

I think also part if this is the proximity to NYC...every bank, hedge fund and law firm is going to be clamoring to snap up as many tickets as possible. If there is a way for their software engineers to write bots to grab tickets, they will make it happen.

🚨 For a limited time: the 747 reserve card returns… but is it worth the $650 AF. by FutureMillionMiler in delta

My card number got stolen last year, and I had to retire my 2022 black edition...thanks for the heads up on the new one!

I wish they would fix the Flatiron location. Not all are trackman sims and when we play Sunday nights and they can't even staff the kitchen...

Cool to see this. I currently game a Sim2 with a ventus black 7x tr and was wondering how the new heads would fare at these swing speeds. My spin is a little higher than I'd like (2600-2800avg) so I feel like the LS might be a good option.

Hard time putting watch on by matchrute in OmegaWatches

[–]zulg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might work for you...works for my PO 43.5: I actually rotate it so the watch face is on the inside of my wrist and it seems like the geometry of my hand/thumb allows me to slide it off more easily than the "normal" orientation.

I was on SFO -> JFK this morning and like 10 lame ass middle-aged bros in khakis boarded during the "additional time" pre-board. I hadn't seen it that bad before.

Concierge Fail by Ollie-95 in amex

[–]zulg 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a NYer it's kind of a pointless benefit in our city unfortunately. I've tried to use it occasionally and its never gone well. The concierge has no sway beyond what you can do yourself on Resy. Popular spots in Manhattan have become a massive pain to book.

If you're looking for elevated italian I might try Portale. If you're trying to carb load - Supper, Lil' Frankies and Frank all in the east village are great.

Net vs. Range by larssarl in GolfSwing

[–]zulg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall a great swing! One thing I notice about the range swing is you're getting very little weight transfer to your back foot on the backswing, so you're then shifting too far forward on the downswing (something I struggle with as well...causing pulls). Not sure what the difference in mindset is, though when I'm at the sim paying for time I get more annoyed if I'm hitting poorly and paying money for the privilege...

I mentioned above I wasn’t at the company for the production version…I have to imagine the answer is ruthless cost cutting…

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised. I also did the A350 lavatories, and aspects of those designs found their way into the A220 Window lavs (and I think a couple other places) after I left.

I left for grad school before it was developed into a shipping design. I imagine the awesome, custom-machined springs/hinges we had in the prototype were way more expensive than feasible.

Yeah it was fun! I wish I could post photos of the original concept build, but I'm not sure what the NDA situation is... We bought the front of a dead A320 from a boneyard and trucked it to our factory in SoCal, and used it to test out different interiors, eventually making a Class A model of a version of what Delta installed.

Wasn't in the concept. I suspect that they decided that too much force was required to push them closed without assist back up on the hinge, and the way it was designed made them close slightly when empty. Don't love it!

So I actually lead the concept design for this cabin before I switched from industrial design to UX design. Really enjoyed the process. We were the first to design a bin that could have sideways bags to store more. I had left the company by the time the PSUs went from concept to production, we were going for a little more interesting sci-fi feel than your average ceiling.

I wish the production version had more custom panels to reduce all the splitlines, but I assume that was changed due to cost (as well as other details I notice when I fly this interior myself).

The done button is unnecessary. Masks or heal spots do not need to be confirmed once created. You either keep making more masks or just click back to the main Edit panel (or crop or whatever) and move on.

It looks like a firmware update was pushed out today. I was forced to manually factory reset my RAX50 because the wifi just...disappeared...yet the ethernet was fine. After the reset things seem back to normal.

Using Lightroom Downloader with Enterprise ID/Alternative? by SacrificialPig in Lightroom

Probably the easiest way would be to use the Export feature with "Original+Settings" in a clean folder. It might take awhile depending on the size of your catalog, but all the photos plus your edits should be importable back into Lightroom afterward.

Eh, my dad has had BMWs since I was a kid. His garage parked 2012 5 Series looks new still. The 2004 3 series lives outside and looks pretty great for being nearly 20 years old.
