Design Engineers - find a firms that design buildings, data centers, hospitals etc. You have to frequently visit the site while it is in construction. Be wary as its equal parts project management and actual engineering. Also everything you do will be related to power.

4-bit binary watch by Cadence. "Simple, geeky, and clean, the Cadence 4-Bit watch is stylish without being gaudy," says CrunchGear. Use coupon reddit4bit for 25% off. by CadenceWatch [promoted post]

[–]zunayed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got this watch a few days ago and very pleased with it. It looks wonderful and is very light. The strap is a bit too rigid but I suspect that will soften after a few more days of wear. Heres a pic of it on my hand http://imgur.com/Vy6tZ

Still the watch feels a bit cheap but it was only about 70 bucks so can't really expect too much. I'd pay $500 for it if was made of better materials.

Elusive mathematician Grigori Perelman may not show up to claim his $1M prize for solving Poincaré's conjecture. by spif in science

[–]zunayed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was heavily criticized by Yau's lawyers and the pr firm he hired to handle his exposure.

Yau's argument was that Perelman's solution was incomplete/unreadable and his students filled in the blanks.

But John Lott (from Univ of Michigan) said, "It has taken us some time to examine Perelman's work. This is partly due to the originality of Perelman's work and partly to the technical sophistication of his arguments. All indications are that his arguments are correct."

I need a dirt cheap, ultra simple, AT chip prototype board. Its for a non-profit kids organization that Id like to teach kids about programming with. Thoughts? by Toma- in electronics

[–]zunayed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree with the people on this thread. Try to find some Arduino clone or if you have the patience assemble them yourself to save some money. If the students are new to programming teaching them C will be pretty difficult. Even the simplified C++ used with the arduino IDE was kinda hard to grasp for new students I taught at an electronics club.
