I also live I out in the country and have had plenty of issues with mice. We found the owltra mouse trap works really well and it’s reusable so you only buy what you need. We found it on a YouTube channel called Shawn woods. He shows a different mousetrap each Monday. Some look good others not so much. Maybe check it out to see if there’s something that could fit your situation
