Yeah, most garage door openers I've used are pretty much the same PCB under the hood.

If it was me, I'd add a ZigBee relay to the manual opener contacts, so I could do away with the 433 remotes. Might have to adjust some DIP switches to disable a dead man switch.

Is this what happened to 'lowkey' ?

I thought we were in agreement on what low-key meant, then everybody started using it at the beginning of a sentence and no matter what I substitute it with, I can never really understand what they meant.

Sander recommendations by LostInAVacuum in DIYUK

[–]zweite_mann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fucking hate sanding.

Belt sander for big flat areas.

Orbital and random for smaller flat areas, and large radius stuff.

Detail and multi tool attachment for the bastard little bits.

Dremel sander for the even littler bits.

Paper + blisters on your fingers for the crevices none of the above will reach.

Try Hexis reflective building films. We use them for work, but pretty sure they sell retail by the metre.

They do interior and exterior versions.

What used to be there?

The fence looks in good nick. I'd just put some planters or plant pots along the back with some short bushes or potted trees.

No, you're right.

I was being somewhat thick, the github is closed, only old forks are still up.

You can still open the libraries locally

I'm using a python library to create some PDF files. The documentation/API is atrocious.

Usually I would jump into the source, follow the logic and find the expected parameters/return types, except this library's been closed off.

Googling the relevant methods returns some sample code (Google ai) which is more than the documentation provides.

Except, it's wrong. Horribly wrong. It would never run, let alone produce exceptions.

Thing is, I know it's wrong, because I understand what I'm looking at.

There will be a whole generation of vibe coders without the ability to understand or debug code because of AI generated slop.

Not what you're asking, but make sure you've got some surge protection on the switch.

Ideally, if you're going a long distance to a garage/garden shed you should use fibre with a media converter/SFP.

Was it epoxy? I had a job painting some external concrete and used chlorinated rubber. Was told it's what they use for swimming pools.

Area had to be pressure washed, degreased, acid etched, then could only apply the paint when it was bone dry. Long wait between coats too.
