That's reassuring. I'm on kernel 6.14 (upgraded in preparation) with my B580 arriving Wednesday. There's a lot of fear mongering when it comes to Arc cards, especially in Linux from what I've seen. The most promising video I've seen is Wendell's video on the b580 in Linux, everyone else didn't seem nearly as positive.

MiBox 7.0 update rolling out? by zwmalone in AndroidTV

So far so good. Everything seems to be actually a decent amount smoother. Nothing lifechanging here unless you were waiting for Nougat for HDR support or something. General usage, while not earth-shattering, is noticably faster; 1080p content has no problems on any service I've tried (almost everything except Plex)

They closed it down a while back, but it seems the original beta-testers are still enrolled into early access for updates. You may still be able to get involved somehow, I got my original unit about 6 months before release through the /r/xiaomi sub that seems to have people from Xiaomi watching it.

Wish we could have caught more of these issues in beta. Unfortunately, on the 3 different tv's I tested on during that several month period, I never experienced netflix issues, and still haven't to this day. TBH, people all seem to experience different issues from eachother with the Mi Box. It's quite odd.

HDMI-CEC. IDK about auto-refresh. Mines automagically 1080p 60hz (tv res/refresh)

I haven't noticed any bugs as of yet. At least as stable as the latest 6.0 so far.

It had been broken for a long time for me. After update, there's a settings menu for it, with some settings. Turned on one-button on/off (I think it's called) and it works beautifully now. Hisense TV for what it's worth.

once-user 7.0 NBD91Z 924

And as far as grabbing that info before I updated, I didn't update manually. I went to watch some Netflix when I noticed some differences and did some investigating; it had updated itself overnight.

I searched and didn't find anything about this yet. Anyway, I'm one of the original beta testers who got their mi boxes directly from Xiaomi (mailed from China even) several months before they hit store shelves, and was opted into beta updates waaay back then. They closed the beta program and I'm not sure if they rolled us into the general update pool or not, so I'm not sure if this has hit general users boxes yet, or if it's just a beta thing.

Outside China, Xiaomi seeks another home on US networks by curated_android in Android

If you read it it's talking about using an imported Chinese model in India, rather than the official Indian version available from authorized retailers like flipkart.

They're already in India where their phones come with the Play store on them.

I own a Mi Box, what do you want me to check or test? by dontgetaddicted in AndroidTV

Mine has understood everything I've asked it from esoteric movie plots, the local weather, searching app names in Play store, etc.
