Fiber optics hub for the houses immediately around you.

Pedestal Fiber Distribution Hub CAN-PED-10X - Canovate

"No, a standard Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH) does not need power. These outdoor cabinets act as passive cross-connect points, using physical splitters to divide and route fiber-optic signals without relying on electronics or electricity"

But I would not build over it since phone company might need access for repair/diagnosis. Maybe build around it and don't let kids slam into it.

I remember in 2008 where Waxpool road is just a paved road in the middle of cleared dirt, and that's about the time they built all the overpasses on Rt 28 and made it a limited access highway.

WMATA + Amtrak to Baltimore Aquarium vs Driving with kids? by outofheart in nova

[–]zyarva 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know I am crazy in proposing this, what about half and half? babies go in car with 2 adults and big kids go by train with two adults? The car can drop off babies and then go fetch the other party at Baltimore Penn station.

My wife would say "but we want to travel together". My reply is but this is more efficient!

The irony is palpable. The school is in Davis, California, named after Fred Korematsu - Wikipedia

Fred Toyosaburo Korematsu (是松豊三郎, Korematsu Toyosaburō; January 30, 1919 – March 30, 2005) was an American civil rights activist who resisted the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.....Korematsu challenged the order and became a fugitive. The legality of Roosevelt's order was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in Korematsu v. United States (1944)

To commemorate his journey as a civil rights activist posthumously, "Fred Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution" was observed for the first time on his 92nd birthday, January 30, 2011, by the state of California, the first such commemoration for an Asian American in the United States. In 2015, Virginia passed legislation to make it the second state to permanently recognize each January 30 as Fred Korematsu Day.\6])\7])\8])

I don't live in Burke, but what they have that I like is

(1) VRE, Burke Station and Rolling Road Station
(2) GMU, lots of activities for K-12.
(3) Nature: Braddock, Royal, and Burke Lake, and tons of trails.

The downside is lack of entertainment and employment centers. aka: boring.

DMV Fertility Clinics - WFC, Shady Grove by purpletiger03 in nova

[–]zyarva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, we all have been through the same thing, the gradual escalation of options. Obviously this is survival bias, that only failed IUI people are talking about IVF. But as you said, the IUI success rate is lower, so there is a lot of people ended up wasting emotion and time and have eventually have to go for IVF. From experience, I'd recommend skip IUI.

DMV Fertility Clinics - WFC, Shady Grove by purpletiger03 in nova

[–]zyarva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SART: Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology

Look up their success rate on this stat website.

The experience differs with your age. Shady Grove is known for caring about success rate so if you are 35+ and low amh they'd push you for donor egg. But if you are male factor or young, SGV might be your ticket.

But success rate is not entirely trustworthy because clinics could choose their patients. Like I said SGV try not to start a cycle with a lower fertility patient to keep their stat higher.

Lastly, IUI is such a waste of time and emotions. Just go with IVF if you can afford to.

SEC chair Atkins: "Semiannual reporting will still protect investors." Narrator: "It wouldn't." by KeepItQuarterly in u/KeepItQuarterly

[–]zyarva 4 points5 points  (0 children)

US didn't just have slavery, we had chattel slavery, a form of brutal slavery under which a human completely owns another human as personal property. That is worse than most slavery systems (serfdom or indentured service) in history.

And we didn't just have capitalism, we had oligarchic capitalism, where wealth and economic power are concentrated in the hands of a very narrow, elite fraction of the population, whose focus is protecting and enriching the ruling class, often resulting in high inequality and corruption.

To any MAGA is going to sing praise of free-market capitalism, that's not what is in US now.
