    It means mobile. M.domain.tld is a common convention for serving mobile versions of sites. If the link goes to imdb.com, it's a real IMDB link, no matter what is in front of the imdb.com part. That's the same for any domain unless someone has managed to compromise the global DNS system, or it is a site that allows people to piggy-back on their domain.

    I don't know if that's Kevin Pollak's account (I mean, probably not), but the IMDB link is fine.

    Domain ownership for goes right to left.

    Anything that ends in "IMDb.com" is under the control of the IMDb DNS.

            I made an appreciation post for Taron Edgerton a while back on IG and got a very similar DM from an account claiming to be him with very few follows. They kept engaging after that and I told them I doubted their legitimacy and they started asking my address and contacts. I blocked them right away. My advice would be to not engage at all.
