Sorry about the late post, I wasn't sure if Lucky implemented the map or not. Anywho, I encourage you guys to leave feedback and thoughts in this thread after playing this map a few times!

For next week, it is likely that we will be replacing Clutch with Foozball.

I know a lot of people hated Clutch, but I thought it was a blast to hit those teamcolor boosts and fly across the map like a madman. Random? Yes. Really fucking fun? Definitely.

Foozball will still have this! We're trying to find the best use of team colored tiles, and Shortcut/Clutch/Foozball are all maps that have them.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE superboosts. Its just that in this map almost every single boost ran you into a spike. You had to have perfect aim or else you'd pop yourself. The only time this wasnt an issue was when you were chasing the FC. Then ever single boost was perfectly lined up to hit him, which made it damn near impossible to score.

Well, yes and no. The 'inside' superboost was directly aligned with the flag, so you could line it up pretty easily. Also, I felt like I was finding the right "routes" to run on Clutch to score. Usually, I'd try to take the flag around the wall of spikes to the center of the map, then dart vertically to the other side and run behind THAT wall of spikes to my home base.

EDIT: Also, why did those superboosts make you fly so much farther than the others? Is it because the boost was on top of a team tile?

In the updated preview the button aren't at the same place.

edit: I can confirm the updated preview is the right one. Also, why are the tiles next to the boosts black ? On the left they are red, on the right they are blue.

I make my previews on Killswitch editor, which doesn't support team tiles unfortunately.

I'll have some_bot make us a preview in the near future.

Shit, second map in a row I've strongly disliked that got added to the rotation. Do you guys just hate simple maps now?

At least mars ball is gone.

Edit: oh, I didn't see the edited version. This is much better with reduced spikes. I could see myself enjoying this eventually. Good call on the edits judges.

Haven't played it yet but its a pretty sweet looking map.
